Answer:	Yes. Before the lid opens, yes before and not after, there is a button on the right of the sensor that says open. Depress the open button and it stays open until you depress the close button on the left of the sensor.

Answer:	You can open it manually, but the handle is so tiny, that it is a bother and if the cover is still engaged it fits back when you try to open it. Not a good design. ...and by tiny, I mean really small, if your hands are wet, you will not be able to open it.

Answer:	Not on my can. I started by gently peeling away the corners, but the adheasive was strong enough to tear the sticker, leaving behind a white paper covered glue mess. However, I was able to remove the second one with a hair dryer on the high setting, just warm it up for about a minute and keep the heat on while you peel slowly. With the hairdryer method, I was able to get it 100% off cleanly.
Question:	I have had this trash can for about 5 months. The lid did not open any longer so I replaced the batteries. It is still not opening properly with new batteries. I also read I should take the batteries out and turn it off for 24 hours, so I did that. Does anyone have this problem or have any suggestions? Thanks

Nine Stars makes a very tiny trash can (It is the one that comes in a set of two will a large trashcan that does not have the lift out pail liner.) I found the very small trashcan with pail liner too small for my need and gave it to a friend who loves it. I kept the larger can which came in the set and then bought one like the one you're asking about/ They both have the same system of holding a plastic bag in place as I mentioned in the first sentence.

Answer:	The widest part is at the top. It is slightly narrower at the bottom. 12 inches from front to back and 16 inches from left to right and 281\2 inches high. We have had this trash container for over 1 year and love it. We use 30 gallon trash bags. Motion sensor is somewhat sensitive. If it is placed in an active area the lid will open and close by its self. Does not bother us, we really enjoy using it.

Answer:	I fit a 16ga power cable with an ethernet cable, and while snug I am happy with the fit. This worked because the channel is wider than it is deep. I would imagine upping to a 14ga electrical would be okay but wouldn't recommend 12ga. The box states that it will accommodate a 14/3 cord.
