Answer:	yes the lid does need to be opened 1st to open thre front & i would say it's about 3 inches or so but I agree the loop that comes through the top could be cut off but then there would be nothing to keep the front doors closed

I just went outside and measured, the interior dimensions are: EXACTLY 48 inches wide from side to side, but the doors are not straight across, they are shaped like a wave and from front to back the measurement is only 20" at its narrowest and about 22 at the widest.

Answer:	As far as I know there are no marks. The opening is tight so you really can't see inside anyway. There's a screen to prevent anything but gas from entering. I've never specifically measured but if you go to the gas station and put in exactly 5 gallons my guess is the gas will just reach the bottom of the screen which reaches down about 3 or 4 inches and that can be your mark

Answer:	Only if you leave them sitting in your car for an extended period of time which you should not do in any situation.
Question:	When storing this tank with fuel inside do you leave the vent on the fill cap open or can you store it fully closed
Answer:	Buying local for me is roughly $24 each. This is the best deal I've found (including online)... even ebay is $24-30

Answer:	No cause diesel are yellow cans /red are gas /blue is kerosene
