Question:	Is the pressure gauge necessary? i am also looking at an astro brand spray gun and none of them include the pressure gauge? thanks
Answer:	Pressure gauges are not necessary if you have some sort of gauge in your air system allowing you to adjust the air pressure. However, having a gauge at the gun will allow better and more consistent control of pressures recommended for the products your spraying, which will help you with achieving the desired results.
Question:	Would this be good to paint a car
Answer:	I bought this to spray primers and it works very well for that task but for bases and clears I'm not sure how it would do. I wouldn't recommend it simply because of the fact that it has a 1.7 mm tip which is too large for bases and even clears so if you do decide to go with this brand gun I'd suggest going with a 1.4 mm tip. I personally own a Finnex FX3000 with 1.4 mm tip to spray base and clear coats and I LOVE that gun. Works great, sprays smooth and the design is awesome, very comfortable in the hand.
Question:	Has anyone used this unit for kitchen cabinet refinishing with Latex Cabinet Paint
Answer:	With the nickel finish you'll generally want paint with thinner, otherwise stuff gets gummy on the inside, use thinner and clean well and you'll be golden. On long work projects I recommend cleaning after 60-90 minutes of use then resuming.
Question:	I plan to paint kitchen cabinets using oil base or alkyd enamel. is 2.0 mm the proper size for this paint
Answer:	I used to use a 1.7 and I would thin latex paint for kitchen cabinets. Makes for a little bit of a finer finish but the 2.0 would work great. Something to consider though, with the experience I have had using over the years with these sprayers they work great, no complaints BUT I recently upgraded to an airless sprayer (a Graco unit from Home Depot). It's definitely a little more expensive on the front end but if you plan to spray anything including kitchens with a little frequency it cut actual spray time down significantly. It took a tenth of the time to spray the same sized kitchen with our graco unit vs the neiko. Good luck!

Question:	Is there a certain way to take off the fluid tips? Ive tried holding the trigger while untightening but the tips wont budge on either gun
Answer:	Same problem, did come off but suspecting dried paint soaked briefly in lacquer thinner by putting several drops in where the cup screws on, point nozzle downwards. Be careful if you do put gun in vise, seems to me possible to break body with too much force sideways. Also lacquer thinner may compromise needle packing so not too much, point nozzle downwards leaving needle in place to keep things closed. Yeah, better wrench wil help, think it is 13mm.
Question:	What is the CFM recommended for these guns
Answer:	The recommended inlet air pressure for both the full size and touchup gun is 30 PSI, giving 10 PSI at the air cap on both guns. This pressure consumes 13 CFM on the full size gun and 8 CFM on the touchup gun. Everything you need to know to get started is on the first page of the included instructions. They recommend using a 5/16" ID or larger air hose. I would recommend a 3/8" ID hose as the hose and fittings are readily available. I've used these guns with as low as a 1 hp motor/40 gallon tank compressor but a larger capacity compressor gives an assured constant pressure and doesn't have to work so hard to keep up. All guns and paint types are different so I suggest that you get a piece of old sheet metal to get the feel of your guns and paint. I've got an old truck hood out back that I use regularly. Make sure you use a good regulator and moisture/contaminant trap. Let me know if you have any further questions!

Answer:	Hello, the fiber side should be up and sticky side down. The fiber on top is infused in the asphalt material and will not burn. The "burning" you experienced may be due to over heating with the torch. If too much torching is applied a thin layer of asphalt material on top may "bubble up". This will not affect the asphalt bonding underneath and won't affect performance of the product.
Question:	I want to use this for spraying wood furniture with latex paint. Will this work well
Answer:	The side with the tape film goes up.

Answer:	I would just by a screw on propane torch from Harbor Freight for $20-$30 and get a 20# propane tank for a gas grill and use that. I think a small tank for soldering would not cover enough area, unless your cracks are very short.

Answer:	I don’t believe I saw filter for this sprayer when I first used it, take a look I could be wrong.

Answer:	Pore a small amount of holes in the cup and mix in a small amount of water at the beginning. The sprayer should be equipped with a funnel. Pour it into the paint. You can try to make a small amount paint as long as you need. I did this, but I don’t know if it is suitable for your paint .

Answer:	Yes the gun can handle 2K clear coat. Be sure to perform proper cleaning after use to avoid damage of internal components as the 2k will get hardened and will stuck moving parts, o-rings, seals and gaskets of the gun.

Answer:	Yes you can paint walls with this gun. But it may take a while since the canister is only 600 ml. The gun requires a compressor that can deliver 4.5 CFM at 40 PSI. The operating pressure is 45 - 50 PSI. The maximum inlet pressure is 80 PSI

Answer:	Good range: 20-120 PSI - perfect for light truck useI bought this specifically for my 2006 Ford E350 Passenger Van. Even though all four tires are identical, the rear tires must be inflated to a full 80 PSI for carrying a full load (14 passengers and 1 driver). The front tires only get inflated to 55 PSI.

Spraying Technique

CAUTION: DO NOT STOP WHEN SPRAYING.

Spraying materials will start to set and dry.as soon as they come in contact with the air.





They will cause a permanent clog if not cleared.immediately.If discontinuing spraying for more than half an hour, turn off the air supply, disconnect Cup from Gun Body and thoroughly rinse Cup and Gun Body with fresh, clean water.

 

Paint Preparation and Filling

Note:Proper paint mixture is essential. Follow the manufacturer’s directions. Most paints will spray easily if they are thinned properly.

1. Thread the Cup to the Gun Body and tighten until the Cup is securely in place.

2. Thin the paint according to manufacturer’s directions and mix thoroughly.

3. Carefully strain the paint through a paint strainer or a piece of cheesecloth.

Question:	Does anyone know what the CFM requirement is for this gun
Answer:	Not sure what the exact cfm is, but I can say it uses ALOT of air. My educated guess is it is in the 12 cfm range.
Question:	Does this regulator have glass face? Is it lacquer proof or will lacquer melt the plastic lens
Answer:	I only clean with solvents (acetone) and the lens is still clear I never really checked it out to see if it is glass or plastic I always use dig.regulator I only used the one that came with the gun once and that was to play and test it out

Answer:	Manual says 16.4 cfm but I feel it's less I have 80 gal 5hp compressor and no way to measure cfm. But I clear at 25 psi and lays out nice and compressor handles it pretty consistent. Used at work with 120 gal compressor feels just the same as home.
