Question:	Painted alloy wheels with duplicolor wheel coating (hwp101 silver), is this clear coat compatible, any special application instructions
Answer:	I would recommend using duplicolor # hwp103 for wheel clear because of high heat temperature
Question:	Can this product be applied over existing clear coat with out sanding. If so what do I clean surface clear coat with before applying
Answer:	If using over existing clear, you MUST wet SSN the existing clear with 800-1000 grit. These very fine scratches will be filled with the new clear coat - failure to sand will result in failure and eventual peeling of the clear coat - the new clear needs a surface to bite into.
Question:	can i use it my my plastic headlights, and if so, do i need an adhesion promotor
Answer:	I sanded with 1000 grit and the clear coat filled the lines in very well. I had previously used Meguires headlight clearcoat and sanded with 2500, but the lines were still visible after 2 coats - it also turned yellow and started to peel after 4 months. I sanded all the Meguires off prior to using the 2k to avoid any lifting problems. They looked great after 2 coats. Beware the overspray! I should have covered my whole car with a drop cloth.
Question:	What type of clearcoat is this? Acrylic/Enamel/Laquer
Answer:	Acrylic. Word of caution. Make sure that you apply a very light coat at first, followed by a second coat a little heavier, followed by an EVEN third wet coat. If you end up with a run DO NOT TRY TO FIX IT UNTIL THE CLEAR COAT IS COMPLETELY DRY!! Then use a new single edge razor blade to scrape any runs. If you have a speck of dust or a bug, gently remove then using a clean cotton swab, dab a drop of clear coat over the "hole" and let it merge into the void. Also, once you puncture the internal can, you only have about 2 hours before the product solidifies in the can.

Answer:	It will, but try a small spot first, sometimes a catalyzed product will lift an uncat product. I think it will be fine

Answer:	If you wet sand with 1000 grit and use a flex additive , you can great short term fix but eventually, any urethane clear will peel. Use a good rubbing compound and a lot of elbow grease to solve problems with yellowing plastic lenses. Avoid any kind of coatings. If lenes are really bad replace them.

Answer:	Yes but don't use duplicolor. Call around local auto paint stores and get real auto paint put into aerosol cans. Transtar is a decent one who will do this and it's better quality. My personal opinion.

Answer:	Not sure about chrome. I would coat the chrome grill with adhesion spray first then plastidip. Apply this Spray Max in the end but make sure the adhesion and the plastidip to stick firmly first.
Question:	How long after applying this can I colorsand and polish
Answer:	Same as any other clear. Obviously depends on air temp/humidity etc. Also, the longer it dries, the harder it is, so hard to cut
Question:	So, i’m an artist and i resin my paintings. is this technically a resin/epoxy in a spray can? could i possibly use this on my paintings
Answer:	Yes it works well. I also do paintings (abstract) and used 2 part resin. The spray Max is just as good and durable. The draw back is, is once you puncture the internal can inside the main can, you only have about 48 hours to use. So you have to make sure you have a few paintings ready to go and coat them all at the same time. Also, purchase a respirator. Harbor freight has them for Les than $20. You get quite a few uses from them, then just throw away and purchase a new one. The vapors in the 2 part spray Max are not good to be inhaling. Outside is fine, but in a enclosed area is not good unless you wear a respirator.

Answer:	I lost mine, but it did not dry out in the few months I had it. I had a similar product (different brand) for many years, and it never dried out. Keep in mind this provides very little shine, and doe snot replace polish.

Answer:	This vehicle is advertised as "water proof" on the packaging. But that is an inaccurate description in my opinion. It is definitely splash resistant as all electronic components sit on top of the bottom plate & covered by the shell. The components are not sealed to keep out all water. So submersing this vehicle definitely has the potential to ruin it. That being said, I have been driving it through shallow mud puddles & in the rain. The internal components have stayed fairly dry with only a few drops getting in.

Answer:	I ordered 3 cans of paint, two of them were so old that no matter how long you shook them, the paint came out in globs & they were useless. I tried to RMA the paint, but Amazon told me that I couldn't ship them back because they're flamable, but I couldn't have a refund unless I returned the product. I've had good success with dupli-color before when buying it from the Auto Parts store, but I would recommend getting it locally rather than on Amazon.
Question:	I have a scratch on my bumper will i be able to just do the area with all the products or will i have to do the entire bumper to get it to blend
Answer:	You should not have to paint the entire bumper. First, prep the area where the scratch is. Clean the entire bumper, then depending on the depth of the scratch, you may want to lightly sand and area surrounding the scratch until all is smooth. Then wipe lightly with laquer thinner. Mask off the bumper to isolate it from the car. Get Dupli-color primer and apply a few light coats. Let them dry well before applying more. This will build up the area around the scratch that you had sanded. Let the primer dry overnight. Next, get some 400 and 600 grit sandpaper (wet type) and with a wet piece of 400, sand lightly the entire primed area. Keep dipping the paper in water and don't use fingertips! Clean area with wet cloth and repeat process with 600grit wet paper and you can then sand some of the areas surrounding the primer (scuff the painted surfaces around the repair) Clean it up with damp clothes and let dry. Apply the paint in light coats in a side to side motion. Don't try to cover the primer too fast. Light coats work best and allow dry time in between coats. Eventually the primer will be covered and some of the new paint will then overlap the original paint on bumper (this is part of the blending process) Once all is covered and you cannot see the primer under the paint, let it dry overnight.Next day, get some 1000 grit wet paper and sand the entire repair area lightly. This will help smooth out the new paint. Dont sand too hard so as to make the primer exposed. Sand beyond the new paint so as to scuff up the old untouched paint on the bumper. You are getting the surrounding area ready for the clear cloat blend.Wipe with clean wet cloth and when thoroughly dry you can apply the dupli color clear coat using the same light coat, overlap method. Now you will want to go beyond the repair area bringing the clear coat into the original painted surfaces by a few inches all around. Let the clear coat dry in between coats. Once clear is applyed, let it dry overnight. Next day you can wet sand the entire repair area with 1000 wet paper. Remember, no finger tips. Use your palm or get a sanding block but go lightly. Once you have finished sanding, wipe clean with wet cloth and then polish with Light polishing compound. You can do this by hand if you dont have a buffer. It may sound complicated, but that's a process that will give you the best results outside of going to a body shop. Another consideration, if the scratch is small, get a bottle of duplicolor touch up. It has the brush built in and you can possibly just carefully use the brush and paint to fill in the scratch. Answer:	I wouldn't recommend it. Automotive urethane is susceptible to fisheyes from contamination and oil-based paint contains oil. The chances for success are slim. As a 30 year paint and collision tech I come across this question frequently. The tractor paint paint paint jobs sound great until you have to strip it off to put something better on it because you're tired of dealing with the lack of gloss etc. The SMR-130 is a great clear for the money and has an unbelievable gloss.
