Question:	Can a 5" Backing Plate be use
Answer:	Yes that is normal. If you *will* read the instructions, it states right in there that they test grind the mill, and leave a small bag of flour for you. They do *not* clean that flour out. They want you to know it has been tested before sending it out.

Answer:	This mill can be powered by electricity but the motor sold by the company for compatible use is about $350 if my memory is correct. My husband rigged the mill to an old washing machine motor & it works just fine, HOWEVER be aware that it voids the warranty if you use something other than the suggested motor. You definitely need a motor for grinding 20 lbs. per day. Using the bicycle method would take too long for that much grain on a daily basis.

Answer:	We have only ground dry grains and it does great job. Doubt it will grind wet corn as it will clump and clog the grinder blade.

Answer:	It doesn't come with a clamp, but you can buy it separately, which is what we did. It holds securely to the side of my kitchen island without slipping, even with regular use.

Answer:	It's called a backing plate. Almost any brand of 6" DA backing plate will work, but ideally you want one with venting holes since the long throw of this and any other 21mm throw polisher generates more heat in the pads.
Question:	Could this be used on wood floor
Answer:	I spray them with an IPA solution, then put them in a bucket of water with a little dish soap or a degreaser. I wash them later with straight dish soap like Dawn, or a pad cleaner solution like Mckees pad cleaner. I rinse thoroughly, put them back on my Shurhold, and spin them on high for a few seconds to remove most of the water. Store them face down, so the Velcro backing does not get smashed down.

Question:	How long is power cord
Answer:	Anytime I tried using it at all the second I put any pressure on it (as in waxing a car) it slowed to almost a stop. I barely had to put any pressure on it for it to stop. So No, it won’t heat up because it will stop the second you put any pressure on it.

Answer:	It comes with a foam pad I think it had one extra pad with it
Question:	Will this work on wooden or linoleum flooring
Answer:	yes it does. it also includes carrying bag, wrench, and an extra set of carbon brushes (for the polisher motor).
Question:	What's the wattage? (Can't make out the power specs from the picture
Answer:	The pads are velcro. I have never removed the disc. But I do believe it is the same thread has a 6 inch grinder. I have used it for many years has worked flawlessly. And I bought another one for my wife fits her hands perfectly. I do recommend it. I use it for boats and cars.
