It can be delicate and even unplugging it while connected to the cars electrical system still hot can muck it up, most people say screw that step because they figure ehh it's an air filter so why should I disconnect my battery? And they burn out the mass airflow sensor so if you didn't disconnect the battery first like the instructions directed you to do then that might be the problem? I followed the instructions to the T and have no problems at all, I also took a page out of cold air inductions book and insulated the inside of the AirBox and the under side and engine block side of the aluminum tube with heat shielding material and it makes a big difference in the air temp entering the throttle body so anyway if you didn't disconnect the battery you could have messed up your sensor, but it might not be ruined, maybe disconnecting the battery and unplugging the sensor and waiting before reconnecting the sensor and then the battery could "rest" the sensor anyway hope you get it fixed |

| Answer: | Tuning WILL void your Warranty. Putting gummout in your gas will void the warranty. I was told by the service manager you can change the intake with a k&n air filter and you can change your exhaust system like I changed mine to a flowmaster which actually got a mileage increase. They also told me that there is an additive that you can add to both your gas and oil called Seafoam which you can get at any auto parts store, I got a gallon at Auto Zone. I even put it in my John Deere Diesel Tractor. Also Ford does something very stupid, the use a blend of oil when they do your oil changes. Why would you put synthetic oil into your engine and taint it with a quart of standard oil that breaks down and burns from the heat of the engine. Full synthetic does NOT break down and looks exactly like you put it in 5,000 miles. I recommend that you flush your oil and run Full synthetic oil. I had to fight with them about adding a clause in my 6year warranty, but they finally agreed. Just think of it if standard breaks down from heat and burns, it also has small particles in your oil which scratches the inside of your engine causing power loss and eventually engine problems. |

Oversized Washable High-Flow Air Filter
K&N starts with the conical shaped high-flow air filter that fits into the engine compartment using factory holes and mounting points. This extra filter size provides even more airflow at lower restriction than a standard K&N O/E replacement filter that is limited to the size of the factory air box. The oversized air filter also captures and holds more dirt increasing the service life before a cleaning is required (up to 100,000 miles).
Easy to Install with Basic Hand Tools
K&N air intakes are very easy to install on your car or truck. A typical air intake installation can be done with a screwdriver, pliers and a ratchet-set in 90 minutes or less! K&N specifically engineers their intake kits to use existing factory holes and mounting points, making installation simple. The vast majority of K&N cold air induction systems do not require any cutting or drilling.
