These heaters are part of the heating, cooling, and air quality category, and they offer an efficient and reliable source of heat. Here is some information about Empire gas heaters:

  7. Design and Aesthetics: Empire gas heaters are available in various designs and finishes to complement the decor of different spaces. They can blend seamlessly with the interior design of your home or commercial setting.

User questions & answers

Question: Is this a whole value or just parts for the value when I put it in my cart it shows three parts
Answer: It is the whole valve. The picture is incorrect for the item. I placed this item in my cart and the picture used was for 3 capacitors. The valve number is correct and the picture incorrect. The picture is an Amazon problem. I would bring the discrepancy to Amazon's attention before buying the valve.
Question: Hi Is this valve for LP gas
Answer: Not as it is. You would need to change out the regulator in the top of the unit with a Robertshaw 1751-013 for LP use.
Question: is this part for a model # 3509612 and serial 18020343 Williams furnace
Answer: I use these valves for natural gas wall furnaces of many different brands and vintages that use a wall thermostat. Works well. If you have not worked with gas appliances before, do your research, or get someone who knows what they are doing to install it.
Question: Is that green knob on top the thermostat I am looking for a millivolt gas valve that turns main burner off I have a standing pilot off the main
Answer: Yes that is the thermostat and if you are looking for the MV valve with out the thermostat on it that works on 750mv with a remote thermostat you are looking for a 710-502 or 700-502 depending on the style of the valve you desire.

User questions & answers

Question: if it has a thermostat, what temperature is it shutting off? I have a different fire place with a 73 degree shut off manufacturing setting, not enought
Answer: I asked the manufacturer for the thermostate info. It has a knob on top from 1-5. 1-60.8°f 2-75.2°f 3-89.6°f 4-104°f 5-118.4°f He also said that they could vary slightly from heater to heater.
Question: I don't see a pic or anything that shows where/how the fan mounts. Does anyone know
Answer: The fan will mount on the back of the heater. There is a punch out that will be removed and the fan will go in it's place.
Question: Would this heater work in a 2 car garage
Answer: In short yes. we have this on the first floor of our house. it is not yet winter, but this is a 30,000 BTU heater; it heats the entire house fast - like 20 mins upstairs and down. I would say the same for a two car garage. I plan on moving this unit to the basement shop which is exposed to ground level in the back and unheated; basically a 1 car garage back there and I expect this to out perform. I will add one thing: this is the blue flame unit. I have had shop heaters before and prefer the radiant heaters (of which Mr Heater makes one just like this) - they have the clay looking elements in them that glow red/orange; those heaters will heat things in the space and then those items give off the heat. I used to aim one at my roll away tool box. in an area where you might have a lot of space up above, such as a loft the radiant version of this heater may be better as it will heat the items it is near with less heated air floating up. either way, this is a safe bet.
Question: Does the mhvfb30ngt unit have an automatic igniter to maintain temperature or do you to to push an igniter switch to start it each time
Answer: It has a pilot lit that will stay lit at all times, unless you turn the dial to the Off position. The heater will start up when the thermostat dial settings determines that it's time to turn the heater on.
Question: I stripped the threads on the heater, how can i fix this
Answer: You can tap it out if you have a tap and die set, otherwise you will have to order new parts
Question: Want 30000 Btu radiant heater with blower
Answer: The 30000 BTU heater will be the model number MHVFRD30LPT. Click on link provided to view the heater. https://www.amazon.com/Mr-Heater-Corporation-Radiant-MHVFRD30LPT/dp/B01DPZ56KU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1514918538&sr=8-1&keywords=MHVFRD30LPT
Question: Will this work with a 20 pound tank
Answer: Yes, but you will need to add a regulator between the heater and the 20 pound tank for safety
Question: So, it has no thermostat but output is variable? How does this work
Answer: It does NOT have a thermostat, settings are either high or low. It will NOT turn on and off on it's own when reaching certain temperatures, it even says its NOT thermostat controlled in the manual.

Radiant Vent Free Heaters

Our Vent Free heaters need no external power, great for power outages and applications with no electricity. They can be mounted to the wall with the supplied bracket or on the floor with the supplied feet.

Most common uses are rooms that don’t warm well so you can adjust the temperature level in them without having to affect the rest of the home.

There are two types of vent free heaters, blue flame (or convection heat) and Infrared (or radiant heat). The difference in these types of heat are how the warm.

The Infrared heater warms objects. It doesn’t warm the air like a Blue Flame. It can be put in an area with objects which the heater will heat and then the object will heat the air. Blue Flame warms the air, infrared warms objects, which heat the air.

Note: Units cannot be converted from Propane to Natural Gas and vice versa. They are not designed to be a primary source of heat, as they are designed to work with a furnace.

User questions & answers

Question: I'm looking to put a natural gas heater in my bathroom so which one could I put in it
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by which one. This one as best I can remember came with feet, but is very on the back and sides and could be wall mounted. Unless you have a very large bathroom or no other heat in your house this heater would be very adequate. I love mine.
Question: Can this be used in an rv
Answer: It would be dangerous to run this in such a confined space. I live in a large old drafty house and the heater is in a room 16x16 foot room that has 14 foot ceiling. Get a heater designed for and RV. Ideally electric to reduce risk of asphixiation....
Question: Can it be connected to an exhaust vent for the gasses
Answer: It has no exhaust port. It's made to be safe (like a gas oven) not having a vent. I use my to pretty much heat my whole little house and have never noticed a problem. Many gas fireplaces are made the same way.
Question: does anyone know if there is an optional blower for this unit
Answer: No. On't the 20k and 30k btu versions can use the optional blower.
