Answer:	Although I am not certain, I am confident that these cables are of a heavy enough gauge to be more than adequate to transfer power from a 5000 watt inverter. Answer:	The cables are made from twisted copper wire (there are multiple strands of copper wire instead of one large copper cable). Using multiple strands of twisted wire allows the cables to be much more flexible and easier to handle than a single large copper cable. Cables made from multiple strands of wire are also less likely to kink than a large single cable. Hopefully, this helps.

Answer:	I haven’t actually measured them but they are quite long. I would say that they are 20 feet. Definitely NOT 2 at 10 feet. I have purchased over 100 for the fleet and are quite happy with them. The bag is another story.

These jumper cables are designed for designed for automotive applications. However, there’s another point to consider when comparing the benefits of 100% copper over aluminum and all other variations. The electrical wiring used in the construction of the houses we live in is the most important from a safety standpoint and is also another good example of the difference in electrical conductors. The cost of producing copper reached an outrageously high amount during the seventies. It suddenly became one of the most expensive materials used in the construction of new residential and commercial building projects. Aluminum wiring became an inexpensive alternative to the much higher priced copper wiring and was used extensively in new construction. everything seemed fine UNTIL relatively new homes started burning down. The cause of these fires was quickly linked to the all aluminum wiring being used. The reason why has already been explained in the other answers but in a nutshell, the aluminum wiring is such a poor conductor of electrical current that anywhere the aluminum conductors were cut and spliced or connected to a switch or outlet, extra measures had to be taken to ensure the connection point was tightly secured. If the electrical bonding point was loose then it would become a point of high electrical resistance resulting in a dangerous increase in temperature at that point. Answer:	Beware of today's gauge sizes like this one, china wire includes rubber jacket measuring its size sold in milimeter diameter, as 10mm, 12mm.. It can be much larger than 2 or 4 AWG with only 12 AWG inside unlike USA AWG that is measure wire itself. Many like these are calling their wire 2,4,6 gauge size wire. Get it, watch for it 4 gauge "Size"? AWG size is never mentioned even.. Today these companies don't simply lie to us advertising complete wire "size" including the rubber cover not actually sold by its true "AWG Gauge" of the internal wire as it's the way metric wire is truly sold. We are supposed to just get screwed over I guess? By not actually selling true #4 AWG Gauge wire in this that's why these only carry 300 amps at best and are SOOO CHeAP, get what you pay for..lol fwiw: My "true" 4 AWG gauge 20ft cables carry 600 amp, weigh near 13 pnds. Answer:	I'm sure they are not. The 2/0 wire is not comparable to welding wire. It's still a decent set for the money for diesel trucks etc.
Question:	Are these 2/0 copper cables, or something else
Answer:	If they don't say 100% copper it is ALWAYS aluminum. All you have to do is slide down the rubber cover on the clamp and scrape lightly on the exposed cable with a knife blade and you will see shiny aluminum under the very thin copper electro plating.
Question:	are they 2 or 0 Gauge cause i dont understand what 2/0 means... so which is it..? if its 2 do you have 25f cables of 0 Gauge..? can you give a link
Answer:	2/0 is another way of writing 00 gauge. You can refer to Wikipedia for quick information http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_wire_gauge Here they have details per gauge and you can decide which rating you will need. There's even a section explaining the 2/0 or 00 naming scheme.

Answer:	They are two individual cables I taped mine together with electrical tape every 6". That is the only thing I didn't like about them.

Answer:	Yes, one black cable and one red cable are connected together.
Question:	How thick is the red and black protective coating? Does it appear durable
Answer:	The protective coating is 2.5-5mm thick, and its service life is about 5 years.
Question:	Are these cables 100% pure copper wire
Answer:	Not 100% copper. Anytime you see the acronym "CCA" in the description, it stands for "Copper Clad Aluminum". The wires on these are CCA, but I have used them and they performed fine. No power loss at 25' and they did not get hot while providing power from my truck to my trailer mounted 10,000# winch. They seem like a quality set of cables for the money.
Question:	Do these go back into the bag easily
Answer:	In my experience, NONe of these products that come in a sexy bag go back into them easily. That said, these are easier than most. Like them all, if you get a set STUDY how they are packed before you unroll them. You will notice that the clamps are on the inside of the roll in a certain manner. Remember that, take a marker and draw a diagram on the inside of the bag. Like I said, these are easier than most but I would still like to slap the bag designer. It would be SO eASY to design a gusset with a zipper into the sidewall.
