You do not need to make any modifications to the hole, although you might need to adjust the strike plate slightly, depending on the size of the existing one. DIRECTIONS:

• Spray the surface with the product, buffing with a dry microfiber cloth in 3-foot sections

The Granite Water Test

The water test is the simplest way to check if your granite needs to be sealed. Pour a small amount of water, about the size of a quarter, on different sections of your granite. Let the water sit for about 30 minutes and see if the granite absorbed the water into the stone.

If the water was absorbed by the granite, you need to reseal your granite. You can tell it was absorbed if your granite darkened.

If the water stays on top of your granite like the image to the right, your granite is protected. We still recommend applying the Granite Sealer at least once a month as a preventative measure.

Answer:	I don't have either the Taj Mahal or, hard water but it works better than any other granite cleaner that I've used. Sorry not be of more help.

Answer:	The primary job of this product is to clean. It will look slightly shinier but if you are really trying to get a shine, we recommend using the full kit; Rock Doctor Granite Cleaner, Rock Doctor Granite Sealer, and Rock Doctor Granite Polish. If you use all three you'll really notice a nice shine!

Answer:	I have used Black Diamond Granite Sealer one time after installing our granite counter top 3 years ago. The Sealer was very easy to use....almost fun! The results were perfect! I would highly recommend it. I also use the Black Diamond cleaner almost everyday, Love that too!
Question:	How long the sealant stays on granite? Do we have to apply regularly? If so on what basis
Answer:	I was told eight hours to dry by the granite installers. As far as I know, I reseal the granite every six months, if it has been taken care of with granite cleaners when needed. Hope this helps
