Adjust Anchor Pins
1. To remove the brake anchor pins, remove all lock ring retainers from the Brake Anchor Pins.
2. Position the Ball Joint Press over the brake spider.
3. Tighten the Jackscrew until the anchor pins can be removed.
4. To install the brake anchor pins, insert the brake anchor pins. Then reinstall the lock ring retainers on the brake anchor pin.
5. Unscrew and remove the Ball Joint Press.
Dis/Assemble a U Joint
1. To disassemble a "U" joint, remove any external and/or internal lock rings.
2. Position the Ball Joint Press around the drive shaft yoke and tighten the Jackscrew until the first bearing is removed.
3. Reposition the Ball Joint Press and remove the second bearing.
4. To assemble a "U" joint, clean all dirt and oil from the yoke area.
5. Align the replacement bearing and Ball Joint Press as straight as possible over the yoke. Press the replacement bearing into the yoke, and reassemble the external/internal lock ring.
6. Reposition the Ball Joint Press and second replacement bearing as straight as possible over the yoke, and press the bearing into the yoke.
7. Reassemble the external/internal lock ring.
Remove a Ball Joint
1. Assemble the Ball Joint Press over the vehicle's control arm. Select the correct size Receiving Tube, and position it under the vehicle's ball joint.
2. Place the Removal Adapter between the Receiving Tube and the Jackscrew.
3. Then, place the Installation Adapter between the top of the ball joint and the Ball Joint Press.
4. Tighten the Jackscrew until the Receiving Tube contacts the vehicle's control arm.
5. Check the alignment of all the Ball Joint Kit parts, and continue tightening the Jackscrew until the vehicle's ball joint is removed.
Installation a Ball Joint
1. Clean the vehicle's control arm, and coat the inside diameter of the control arm with a light lubricant.
2. Insert the replacement ball joint as straight as possible into the vehicle's control arm.
3. Assemble the Ball Joint Press over the vehicle's control arm. Select the correct size Receiving Tube and position it on top of the vehicle's control arm.
4. Place the Installation Adapter between the Receiving Tube and the Ball Joint Press. Then, place the Removal Adapter between the ball joint and the Jackscrew.
5. Check the alignment of all the Ball Joint Kit parts. Then, tighten the Jackscrew until the vehicle's ball joint is firmly sealed.

Answer: | I guess you can't be sure unless you find one you can buy local to you, but I bought mine here (fwiw, seller was Tooltopia) Sept 2016 and it says 'Made in USA' right on the C-Clamp. As I understand it, a couple years back OTC sent production of this press overseas and the quality suffered and it's since been brought back to the US since. Last I looked all of the reviews here saying they got one that was not Made in USA are not the most recent. |

Answer: | Lol that's the best one iv heard all year and with that being said really use your brain I brought all the ball joint press from a friend who had it for 35 years I walked away from one second to cut out a half moon out of a bearing race to make it work for the lower arm and my friend decided to pull my Jack handle out and put it on the breaker bar on the ball joint press while I was inside grinding let alone $1,400 later I found an original one on eBay and replaced my buddies because of my buddies no buddies but my buddies pay my buddies lol wait what? Keilth tools I believe can't spell |

This is the ultimate ball joint kit for your front strut model Polaris ATV or UTV! Pulling the ball joints from the aluminum strut housing on most Polaris ATV's can be a real challenge. We developed this unique tool to make the job much easier. This two piece steel puller simply goes over the balljoint, install the nut, and turn out the inner puller to remove the ball joint. A 6 point 1" socket is required. Zinc plated for corrosion resistance. The heavy duty design is suited for either home or professional shop use. Unlike other tools on the market that use all of the old ball joints threads, this tool only uses the top few threads of the ball joint. If your threads are damaged, those other pullers will not work! Even in your threads are damaged you can normally still make our puller work due to the dual puller design. Does the balljoint spin freely or slop up and down in its housing? No problem, this puller will easily remove it! Complete instructions are included. Answer: | Had similar issue on 2003 corolla, leave nut flushed on bolt for stability, spray silicone on separator to lubricate and slide between nut and boot, if all fails, disconnect the 2 nuts and 1 bolt for the ball joint base, remove knuckle and then use seprator. |
