| Answer: | Oh yeah. You should not just plug this in and go. These bulbs make a ton more heat than a stock 55/60 bulb. Buy a ceramic plug as well, otherwise the stock pug will just melt over time. I think I paid maybe 12 bucks for 2 ceramic H4 plugs on Amazon. |

I can see how these "offroad" bulbs from hella can be brighter than normal but for me ...I put them in aftermarket housings that are better than my old stock ones which are toast. My new housings are not that great either but the aftermarket is limited for 2002 durangos. So they pretty much make a normal beam of light for me which was better than before. Also they are brighter than 6k hid bulbs out of a non projector clear lense Depo aftermarket housing for gen 1 Durango and brighter than the Phillips Xtreme Power out of the same housing. |

| Answer: | Yes these bulbs need 12 to 14 AWG wiring direct from the battery to a two 20 amp solinoids. Solder all your connection for maximum performance and will reduce connector corrosion problems latter down the road. Scrap all of your stock wiring. Plus new heavy gague lightbulb plugs that can handle the heat. Plus, do not Toutch the bulb glass. Your oil will cause the glass to shatter due to differential expansion of the oil and clean parts of the bulb glass. Clean your bulbs with denatured alcohol even if you never touched them because someone else has !!!!! These bulbs will not last very long because of the high output, have extras with you and lense cleaning alcohol wipes fron Ziess. |
