Answer: | The user's manual indicates that a standard 1 year warranty is offered by Brymen (you would have to return the product to the nearest authorized Brymen agent in the event of needing warranty service). However, if the product is found to be defective on delivery you would be better just returning it to Amazon for a refund or replacement. |

Question: | Does it have nist certificate |
Answer: | NIST calibration certificates are usually required for certain testing environments and is an extra cost with almost all meters. Some meter come with calibration certificates, but they are not NIST certificates. My BK 8601 I bought last month has a 5.5 digit volt meter and is a NIST certified. When I compared this meter to the BK they had the same reading for D.C. Voltage. Also my HP/Agilent 34401A bench meter was calibrated 2 months before I did the review in the BM235 and it was within spec as expected. Most multimeters at a resolution of a 6000 count are all going to be accurate within the specified rating. Usually calibration would be needed for more of a scientific higher resolution multimeter or as someone else mentioned a bench multimeter. Question: | How does this meter perform in RF rich environments like TV or commercial radio transmitters? Flukes are unaffected but cheap meters can have problems |
Answer: | I haven't noticed any issues. Joe Smith on You Tube does extensive tests including RF interference on his channel of every meter on the market. The Brymen meters are very well made and hold there own with the Flukes. He runs them through running the switch through all ranges up to 15Kv input. Most don't survive those tests at that level, the ones that make it the farthest are Flukes and Brymen's. Dave Jones did his homework on the EEV blog when he went in on the design of this meter and put his name on it. So far so good here for the price, more features than my Fluke 115. |

Answer: | The settings allow you to enter up to 20volts. Open circuit, I read a max of 21 volts peak to peak. When connected to a 50 ohm load, the voltage measured drops in half (I assume that the impedance of the Koolertron is 50 ohms, so attaching a 50 ohm load would cut the voltage in half). The difference between the setting and what I measured on my scope could be calibration of either device. I am reading some noise on the signal, so that could also be causing the slight difference. Hope that helps. |

Answer: | Decent batteries should not leak even IF you put something away. I’ve had things with batteries in items left for 4-5-6 years. Opened, batteries dead...no leakage!!!! I have used Duracell, Energizer, Walmart, IKEA, CVS brand batteries. In 40 years NEVER had a battery leak!!! Won’t buy these now thst people claim they “ may” leak!!! Maybe that’s why so cheap!!! |

Answer: | You can make a fist and I've used them for general cold weather yard work, but the gloves take away fine motor skills. Gripping a hammer would likely not be a problem. Holding a nail might be slightly more difficult. |
