Answer:	I don't think that would be a problem. The material covering the back is a woven polyester-type with hundreds of little bumps, rubber of some other synthetic, to keep it from sliding around on the seat surface. So, basically, the bumps touch the seat surface and not being a cloth fabric, I really don't see how it could stain anything. I might just add, this thing is so cool, literally and figuratively, as it has 3 fan settings for the cooling part and it kicks out some air. I was truly surprised. The massage is interesting as it changes tempo as it does it's thing. I recommend this highly!!!
