Question:	Will the XXL fit on our 2007 Yukon XL Denali. It said on the official website it wouldn’t
Answer:	I'm not the one who asked this question, but I just submitted a similar one. The answer depends on your definition of 'fit'. I talked to Thule on the phone today. They consider it to work as long as it grabs the crossbars, even if it prevents the rear hatchback door from opening. I had an XXL delivered believing it would work, and it doesn't even come close. I talked to Honda, who installed my roof rack last week, and they made it clear that there's only one option for the arrangement of the crossbars that they install. So it will depend on what size you order, and whether or not you need to be able to open the rear door while the carrier is on the car. Thule referred me to a chart where you need to measure from the front crossbar to rear door when it's open. The XXL and the XL are not going to allow the door to open. The L is still undetermined for me, I have not figured out if I should order one or not, the measurement is very close to the max allowable, and the chart doesn't make it clear exactly where you're measuring from.

Answer:	does the 2007 Odyssey have a roof rack ? the question is does the plastic part above the rear liftgate pose a problem for the Rightline Cargo bag. I recommend calling the Rightline support team for your question.

Answer:	If you use the roof rack you shouldn't have any problems, I have a '12 Odyssey. I was concerned about this as well and cut the foot out of a sock and ran the straps through this to add somethings softer to rub against the vans paint and plastic. Others state that it is not hard or solid, and I agree, you do need to try and fill the cargo bag up as much as possible to help it keep its shape and the straps to work as designed. As far as weight, I had a large cooler and other items in it, and the only problem I had was lifting the full cargo bag up to be able to get the straps adjusted and onto the back of the van properly, minimum 2-3 person job.

Answer:	I've done this across country. Worked great. As always I put my lightweight (sheets, pillows..etc) luggage on the roof and heavier(beach chairs, cart...etc) in the rear bag. Mine is supported with additional straps and rear door straps. You gotta just balance your weight well and not overpack the outside your car. If it's real heavy it needs to go inside the vehicle.
Question:	Will it fit Honda CRV
Answer:	We used this on a 2010 Mazda 5 without a roof-rack and it worked great. We had to criss-cross the straps in the back because our Mazda5 has two bumps along the ridge where you're supposed to hang the clips, so we had to place the clips closer together than what is shown in the example pictures. But we figured it out and it worked great on a 20-hour roundtrip drive with a pretty full load in the bag.

Question:	My cross rails are 27" on center, when drilling new holes, do I drill new holes at the front or rear
Answer:	By the way you ask your question, I assume your cross rails are not adjustable. You would have to drill at the rear of the carrier, because the carrier starts to bow at the front end only a couple inches past the far front hole. Depending on the contour of your cross rail, you may only have to drill one hole per side, because the mounting holes for each bracket are 4" on center, and the distance from center to center of the mounting brackets is 24", so you are only moving C2C by 3"s. Hope this helps, I would have attached a picture, but see no option for attachments.

Answer:	Fits perfectly on my Toyota Highlander factory fitted aeroblade.

Answer:	It all depends on the type of roof racks you have. If there not adjustable, it would have to be 22 inches of separation from each other . Or you can also make your own adjustments on the cargo carrier box itself , to make it fit.
Question:	What does this do to gas mileage
Answer:	It does affect MPG on highway speeds. Simple physics, you have much more drag and faster you go the more it affects MPG. I drove 4,200 miles with it, mostly 70-85 MPH and my Highlander's MPG went from the usual 21-22 MPG down to 18-19 MPG. If you drive at low speeds, up to 45 MPH, there is minimal affect on MPG, I have noticed that as part of my trip was driving in Yellowstone and inside RMNP; you definitely cannot go fast in there.

Question:	can this bag be attached with just cross bars
Answer:	There is one zipper with two zipper “handles”, so I’m sure you could buy a really small key lock and loop it through the two handles to lock it. Kind of wish we did that as we had to unload it at our midpoint hotel on our road trip. This would have saved a lot of time.

Answer:	It is supposed to be, however after its first use, a lot of the inside coating started peeling off. That may damaged its integrity.

Answer:	Check out your crossbars. Measure distance between them. ID whether or not they can be moved fore/aft. The fit of the box is all about the location of the crossbars. As long as there's nothing crazy going on with the location of your crossbars, then yes it should fit.

The box is very high quality... but like any box thats not a safe... a pry bar and an determined individual will succeed at some point.

Question:	how do we install this
Answer:	I used a pair on a bench that measures 25 x 15. My suggestion would be to use no less than 3 legs for the base of a 42 inch round table.
Question:	Most of the carriers are 48x20, including the curt carrier i was looking at. the bag itself lists the demensions as 48x21.7. are there issues
Answer:	Not sure, but my wife and I both sit on our bench without issue and combined we're about 400 lbs.

• We drove with the hitch cargo carrier on a 1200 mile / 2-day road trip. We had temperatures ranging from 55 to 102 degrees. We experienced light to heavy winds, fog, light rain and heavy storms. Question:	Does this roof rack have a lock and key
Answer:	If you have crossbars that are not spaced 22" on center and are fixed (meaning they cannot be moved or adjusted), then you may need to drill new mounting holes one end. There are directions in the instruction booklet to guide you through the process of drilling new mounting holes. It's fairly easy and doesn't require any advanced carpentry skills. Thank you!

Answer:	My guess is yes, fit my 2017 Allroad perfectly...however, I’d recommend going to the Thule website and using the tool they have to size a carrier to a specific vehicle...excellent tool, will let you see what carriers will fit your vehicle, as well as which support/mounting bars will work...I had to use an Audi Allroad specific crossbar, there are designated mount points on the roof rack...the Q7 may be the same way...(the bar was however a Thule item...)

Question:	What is the recommended spacing between the straps for a Yakima Rocketbox Pro
Answer:	I doubt anybody is going to have a specific recommendation in this. I think you should focus on how heavy your carrier is and if it is less than the max rating in this lift. Beyond that, you’ll just have to figure out the best layout for your carrier.
Question:	What's the distance from the ceiling to the top of the roof-top box when hoisted all the way up? Also, how far down can a roof-top box be lowered
Answer:	After adjusting spacing between pully brackets, and with a very taught rope and taught webbing, I was able to get it down to 11" between ceiling and cargo box. This is with the pro version, which allows a minimized distance. That leaves me with about 3" of clearance above my garage door--I wouldn't be comfortable with much less due to the difficulty of ensuring that minimum distance every time.
Question:	Does anyone know the diameter of the ropes that are included with this
Answer:	It’s approximately a 3/16 inch rope when it’s taught and around .225” loose.
Question:	What is the hole spacing on the ceiling bracket? Can it be mounted perpendicular on a standard 2" joist or has to be inline
Answer:	Not sure if you are asking: 1) what is the spacing between the two different brackets that mount to the ceiling or ... 2) what is the distance between the two mounting screw holes in each bracket So I'll try to answer both: 1) It didn't seem like there is a required spacing. I just measured the distance between the underside clamps on my car carrier and used that. I think it was 33 inches if I remember right. 2) I don't remember for sure but I think it is about 2-3 inches. Inline vs perpindicular: I installed mine inline but that is just what made sense for me in my garage. I think you could do either but because the spacing between the two mounting screw holes is 2-3 inches I would think if you want to mount perpendicular to the joists you would probably have to first mount a 2x4 perpendicular to the joists with some lag screws from the hardware store. Then mount the brackets to that. Of course if you know exactly where two doubled up joists are you wouldn't have to do that. Or if the joists are exposed you could mount a block of wood on the side of a joist to double it up that way. But a 2x4 would give you more freedom about where you mount the 2 brackets because you wouldn't have to use a joist.

Question:	Will this work on a minivan with sliding doors (no roof rack)? Thanks
Answer:	I have a 2015 jeep JKU with heated seats. You have to remove a bracket in the bottom of the holding the electrical wires for the seat. Then you can just install the lock box. 2015 and 2016 both jeep have the same interior.
Question:	Will this work with no roof rails
Answer:	Make sure you have the right size socket before you do this btw. Get a breaker bar, torque wrench, or pipe extension on your regular socket drive. If they still don't budge, use some WD40 on the bolt and let it sit for a few, this helps break the bond. You'll get it... if you don't use the right size socket, you run the risk of stripping the nut (not good). Don't use a monkey wrench or deep socket, use a regular socket. If you strip it, well, you'll need to get a stripped bolt remover socket from Sears (or online) and replace the bolt. Keep at it...
Question:	I wonder if it is 100% waterproof
Answer:	I installed in a 2012 4 door, it's the same change, the bracket that holds the underseat wiring cluster has to be removed and that cluster zip tied away from the drawer. It was no big deal
