Answer:	Sure, when they "bloat" just loosen the cap and let the pressure out. It should work the same way when it's cold and the can collapses. It's just vapor.

Answer:	Yes, you can leave the cap on but loose to prevent bloating, this is exactly why I purchased this product. Yes it can be used on metal gas cans. I had previously purchased the plastic versions, to prevent bloating, but with an open HOLE, dust and small trash can enter. With this vent, nothing can get in but air when loosened. Step 1

Open your door and carefully pull back the weatherstripping seal.

Step 2

With the seal pulled back, place one of the 4 included door hooks on the metal doorframe.

Step 3

Answer:	It should fit. I used it on a 2010 Tucson. You shouldn't need anything else to mount it. Comes with everything and love that it opens from the back, not on the side. You'll love it. Little expensive, but we'll worth it. Just need to make sure you have cross bars. Danny
