Car Washing: Selecting a wash

Dish washing detergents are degreasers that begin to strip away wax and polish and promote oxidation. Two bucket method

Meguiar's recommends the 'Two Bucket' method in conjunction with the Meguiar's Grit Guard (sold separately) to reduce the chances of inflicting swirls into the paint. • Use the soapy water bucket to pick up wash solution with the wash mitt and wash a section of the vehicle.

• Dunk the wash mitt into the rinse bucket to remove any loose contaminants it may have picked up.

• Rub your wash mitt across the Grit Guard and it will further collect debris to thoroughly clean the mitt.

• Dunk the mitt back into the soapy water bucket and pick up fresh, uncontaminated wash solution and work on the next section. Consider putting an additional Grit Guard into the soapy water bucket as an added safety precaution.

Selecting a drying cloth

A premium microfiber drying towel is recommended as it will be absorbent, will reduce friction and will be soft and gentle on the paint. Answer:	I used it on my black SUV and had no issues. I would just rinse, try warm/hot water if the cold water doesn't work and run over it with a microfiber cloth.

Answer:	Any chemical can harm your pressure washer when injected before the pump. ALWAYS use a downstream injector, is, one that attaches after the pump, before the hose going to the sprayer wand. Then you just need to rinse your hose and sprayer with plain water, no chemicals in your pump and in your seals.
Question:	Will this work with a pressure washer and foam lance
Answer:	It does work with Foam Gun. Makes good foam as well. However rinse very well. Tends to leave a residue. Also I feel like it works just ok. Still a lot of spot. But less the other soaps.

Answer:	Mine came with the hose trigger/sprayer which quick connects to the dispenser and can be removed to use like a regular garden nozzle. It comes with everything you see in the picture.

Answer:	The Honeydew Snow Foam by Chemical Guys is the recommended product. I tried both today, the snow foam was by far the best at making suds. I only had to use setting 3 and still got more than the Mr. Pink did. You can use any car soap though, if you wanna do it on the cheap.
Question:	Will Mr. Pink work and foam up well if used in a foam gun that just attaches to a regular garden hose? I don't have a high pressure power washer
Answer:	You don't need a quick connect to operate the Foam Blaster. Simpy remove the quick connect adapter and screw into your garden hose. If you already have a quick connect on your garden hose then you can use the included fitting.

Answer:	Foam is used as a pre-treatment before normal car washing to loosen the dirt and grime on the car's surface. It is not meant to completely clean the car although the foam does remove some of the dirt and grime. Loosing the dirt before washing is very important to maintain a shiny/glossy finish on the car with no scratches. Washing a dirty car without foaming it first increases the probability of scratching the surface even with a microfibre mitt because you have to rub too hard to remove the dirt. In most cases, the foam loosens the dirt so effectively that just hosing the car off will clean it. The ultimate car wash would be touchless and the foam helps to achieve that which is why touchless automatic drive-through car washes use the same technique. Regarding the foam blaster, the foam is bought as a thick liquid in a bottle. Answer:	This soap will remove street dirt you pick up from the highway. I’m assuming it would remove ash. You might wanna google it. It’s not gonna replace your paints if it’s melted off but will protect the surface left. Good luck.

Answer:	I'm not sure. However, as long as you can attach the flexi hose to the trigger sprayer it will work. I'm using an extremely light weight garden hose and it does well. I just went to Home Depot and added a different brass fitting (found in the garden hose department). It works perfectly. FYI, if you decide to do the same, I purchased a couple of the garden hose brass fitting kits (estimated $7) , so I can quickly change nozzles on the hose from this sprayer to my regular garden hose sprayer.

Also, you may not want to use too heavy-duty pressure washer for your car when blasting off which can cause damage to your paint. Good luck!
