Question:	How does it match up with the print outs on my paper to accurately cut out what is printed? Or is that not something it can do
Answer:	There are two ways that you can "print and cut". One is by using a special new mat called the PixScan that is available for it, and an app that goes with it on your phone. With that you can cut around anything...it doesn't have to be something you printed from the Silhouette software. It can be a stamped image, or handwriting, or whatever. The other way is by creating the file in Silhouette's Design Studio software and then adding registration marks to your document before printing it. The machine reads these to orient itself on the paper when you feed the paper into the Portrait to cut.
Question:	Can you use 8 1/2" paper even if it only cuts 8" or would you need to trim your paper to
Answer:	I have put 8 1/2 by 11 paper on the mat. You just cannot see all the numbers on the side but you do not have to cut it to 8 inches. Hope this helps. I absolutely love my Silhouette and I still do not even know how to use have of the items yet.
Question:	Will the software that comes with this print .ai files? Is there other software that will print out designs for this printer
Answer:	Not the software that comes with it. However you can buy Silhouette Connect software for $40 which allows you to cut directly in Adobe Illustrator. Would highly recommend using that program if you know Illustrator.
Question:	What will the Cameo do that the Portrait will not do
Answer:	I had purchased the Portrait, but found I was limited on what I could create since it's width is just 8 inches wide. Most of the paper or vinyl I wanted to use with the Portrait were at least 8 1/2 inches wide. So I bought the Cameo and I'm very happy with it. Other than the width limitation, they both operate the same way.

Answer:	Download an software called “design studio” to use with this product. Very easy to use software in my opinion. There’s also a Mobil App but I much prefer the computer version. Just go to their website or check out some YouTube videos and you will see.

Answer:	I use 9 inch rolls which are sold without having to cut them

Answer:	If you want to Business version you will have to pay extra for the software. Otherwise you'll have access to the "normal" version of the software that doesn't have all the options but still works.

Answer:	I don't have a Cameo but pretty sure it wouldn't fit as the Portrait fits in this bag perfectly and not much more room for a larger item.

Answer:	I did not keep this tote, I sent it back because it had a warning label on it stating that it contained lead and that hands should be washed after handling it. Really, why would they use lead? anyway i couldn't gift it to my daughter as planned knowing this. But it only fits the small silhouette machine.

Question:	Can this be used like a regular stamp (i.e. apply ink, make impression, clean stamp, begin again
Answer:	No. You "print" the stamp, ink the stamp, let it soak up the ink, and then use the stamp up to 50 times. My first worked for about 30 uses. I'm sure if I were to switch colors it would he a little muted since I started with black, but that's speculation.
Question:	can you use these with a regular stamp ink pad
Answer:	Hi, it was a generic brand of ink. We use it in our office for stamp pads.

Answer:	Mine came with the 50 designs. That's part of the deal with you register the machine. The box has a date of 2016 on it. That's outdated and NOT current. I would be VERY concerned about ink quality. Mine is going back before it even gets plugged in.
Question:	How many stamps can you make with this kit? Is it only two
Answer:	It comes with materials to make two however the unit and ink will make multiple stamps all you have to buy is the stamp kits for approx 10 dollars + depending on the size. It comes with a 15x60 and a 30x30 stamp.

Answer:	Without actually measuring it, one of my customer's that loves the products believes it is 45 degrees.

Answer:	Yes! I have a silhouette SD and this blade works for it.

Answer:	The combo pack is for a blade and a cutting mat, but it is still overpriced. You can buy them about $5 cheaper adding them to the cart separately.
Question:	Can I buy the 24-inch one and cut it in half so I get two 12-inch mats? Seeing the price both is about the same
Answer:	It really depends on how much you use it and how detailed your cuts are. When I first started using mine, I cut a lot of doilies and the blade didn't last as long. I no longer cut doilies, so now I'm only on my 2nd blade since 2012 and I use my Silhouette Cameo almost every day. Hope this helps!
