Question:	Can you use your own custom art
Answer:	Not really, as the interior width is 7 34/“ x 10 5/8“. I tried putting a 8 inch macrame hoop in and while you could tilt the hoop at an angle and close the lid of the box it would close, but you would not be able to put the top section of the box (which holds smaller sewing items) in at all. If you’re not planning to use it as a sewing basket you could leave out the top section and put your 8 inch hoop in at an angle but to me that’s not an ideal solution.

Difference Between SA156 and SA155

A bobbin's diameter and height are called its style. Each sewing machine brand and model uses a particular bobbin style and will not work with other bobbin styles.

• SA156 - also known as Class 15, A style, or Size A is 13/16 inch (20mm) in diameter (approximately the size of a nickel) and 7/16 inch (12mm) high. It's top and bottom, called the flanges, are flat. Most sewing machines use this type of bobbin. If your sewing machine makes computerized embroidery, it probably uses this type of bobbin.
• SA155 or the L style or Size L has the same diameter and flat flanges but is only 5/16 inch (9mm) high. This type is the most common embroidery bobbin for home and commercial sewing machines.

Answer:	I am new to embroidery so I have not ventured into this area yet. There is a USB port for adding downloaded templates, so you may be able to add more fonts.
Question:	I was looking at the janome 9850 for $1600.00 with my Prime and now that i can pay cash for it i can not find it,. Why
Answer:	Don't buy this online to save money! I bought the 9850 on May 16th for my mom and it arrived May 21st. We did everything strictly according to the instruction book, as there was no DVD included. We oil & clean it once a week, as we've been making masks with it, and experimenting with rhe embroidery. Yesterday the machine started bending needles, locking up, and jamming. Customer service was quick to call. The Janome rep walked me through one solution, which we thought fixed the machine. It worked for 1 Embroidery, then started jamming the bobbin holder in sewing mode. It chewed up the yellow 20g embroidery bobbin holder. Then later pierced and chewed up the 10g red bobbin holder in sewing. Janome doesn't want to honor the labor for the warranty to the dealer 10 miles from my house. Had I known there was a Janome dealer 10 miles from my house, I would've bought it local! Janome told me I need to send it to the dealer I bought from to honor the warranty, I live east of Houston. I bought it from a dealer in Oklahoma. Buy as close to your home as possible! I've got an $1800 paper-weight until further notice.

Question:	Is this bobbin thread 60 weight or 90 weight
Answer:	A #11 is slightly thinner than a #12. It leaves a smaller hole when it pierces the fabric. It is good enough for general sewing and piecing quilt blocks. If you are using a thicker thread (like 50 weight cotton) you may want to stick with # 12s, as a #12's hole is larger and the thread will go through more smoothly. (To give you a slightly better reference, call #12s average and # 14 suitable for heavier fabrics such as corduroy and blue jean.) -- just as an aside, I personally did not like these blue tip janome needles...they were really flimsy and I had three of them break lickety split just using them for general sewing. Given their price, I was not happy about that!

Answer:	When I received the thread of 80 cones it came with a number chart for Janome and Robinson-Anton. I have a Brother Embroidery machine and just change the setting to Robinson-Anton numbers to be displayed on the machine screen, don't have the color listed, change setting back to show color name and choose the best match. Question:	Does this allow you to use larger spools of thread 1000m and up
Answer:	I just measured the distance between spool pins on my Janome 5 pin spool threader. The distance was 2 3/8 inches. So, if your spool is less than 5 inches in diameter, a large spool should fit. I can't address any performance issues since I don't use large spools.

Answer:	It works on the 500E so I don't see why it wouldn't
