Answer:	Mrs S, From what I am understanding, both mats are 12 x 12. The cricut would not work though because there are registration marks on the Scan and Cut 2, which serve as a guide. There are a lot of people online that have claimed to use many different ways to make it work, but I can not stand by those methods to positively identify if it does work for the brother. Good Luck

Question:	Can i use with a window based computer or does it have to be a MAC
Answer:	We just got out of a Cricut class tonight, 10/14/2019) at a local Michaels. We (my wife and I) both downloaded the DesignSpace software in class from the Cricut website to our Windows 10 laptops and after downloading a small Windows add-in, were able to launch DesignSpace, create and cut projects successfully from out laptops. We also had out Apple iPads and downloaded the Apple Store DesignSpace app and had no problem using them to design and cut. Can’t speak about the Mac though...
Question:	I am looking to get my first Cricut machine. Will the faster speed matter or should I save some money and get the previous version to learn on
Answer:	The only difference between the air1 and air2 is the speed of the cut and the color options for the machines. I have the air2 and I honestly haven't even tried the faster cutting option because I've been cutting really delicate things and I was afraid that it would rip the material at a faster speed. I guess this question depends on how much you would use it and for what. I don't, by any means, think the air1 is "slow".

Answer:	Through personal experience, the Cricut Design Space software let’s you upload svg files, but not ai or eps. The best advice for cutting images from Illustrator is to use a USCutter instead, it uses a software called Sure Cuts A Lot and works with alot of file types (ai, eps, svg)

Answer:	If you upload your own pattern (pieced together before upload to design space), and it's under 12x24, yes. So it would work for a bodice with princess seams, a gored/sectioned skirt that's under 24", cap or short sleeves, and various other smaller apparel pieces. So it wouldn't take all cutting out of the picture, but you'll get more done in the time you take since you'll be cutting multiple pieces at once. But unless they come out with longer mats, it's unlikely that it could cut pants, though shorts could be feasible.
Question:	Can it cut patterns for adult clothes like pants, skirts, blouse, shirts, etc
Answer:	Yes - I have used it in my Big Shot. However... Be sure that your cutting pads are newer (and flat) otherwise the magnetic pull isn't as strong. I used this product for my Christmas cards and after experiencing the problem above, purchased The Genius Platform system. It was wonderful, didn't cut into the cutting pads and had no issues with the magnetic platform. I would recommend this product over the Sizzix one.

Answer:	No you cannot trade them in to my knowledge. I put mine cartridges in my recycle bin since my community recycles.

Answer:	They have different cartridges for different machines. Some will laminate. I just use mine for making stickers so it's just sticky on one side. It's also a great way to make cheap glitter paper. Just sprinkle on the sticky side and then run it back through again on the other side.
Question:	How do you obtain the digital content? There was nothing in the packet giving access to this
Answer:	Watch the videos for both the 500 and the 510, which are located with the various picture angles of these products, on the left.The 500 is simply a sticker maker, with permanent and re-postionalbe adhesive refill options.The 510 does the same, except has the ability to do more, with a variety of refills. Question:	Will these work in a Silhouette Cameo
Answer:	They are designed to fit the Cricut Explore line of machines and the Maker. I would think, just knowing how the machines are set up and that they are competing companies, that no they will not fit. I could be wrong though. Before buying these, I would ask someone to borrow a pen to see if it fits or get a single pen at the store. If it fits and works in the Cameo3 then get the big pack. I truly love this pen set! I've added the metallics to mine as well!

Answer:	The cricut portable trimmer does not have angle measurement. It is more so used to trim excess material. The piece that is on the side extends out all the way to help measure/cut things by inches. The piece that extends would probably move if you put it on an angle. It looks in when fully extended.

Answer:	Yes the blade is replaceable, I got mine on Amazon. You can also get a scoring blade to use in the trimmer for making folds in cards and other paper crafts.

Answer:	I did a bit more research and it looks like you can use this for your machine as long as it for paper and not fondant. This one is better for card stock. I would go for the light grip 12x12 if you are using light weight paper.

Answer:	I know this is an older question back in 2014. I just purchased my Mat set, it arrived in excellent condition, brand new. MAT's STINK ! I have never smelled Mats so strong, ever! I used my GREEN one 3x's and couldn't deal with it. I have them all hanging in my laundry room near a opened window trying to air them out. That CHEMICAL smell is nauseating. Bummed out because I was looking forward to making special cards for New Years! Just can't use my machine until I go get a new mat that I can use.

Answer:	These packs come with 2 mats. I write with permanent marker when I start using mine with the date at the top of it. My last set I used for about 4-5 months. I do anywhere from 20 - 100 sheets of paper per week, depending on my orders. I use with cardstock, paper, vinyl, projector film sheets. I use one side for printed mark cut outs and spin top to bottom for solid sheets. (so I'm using every inch lol) I use these with my silhouette machine because they are really sturdy. When the mat starts to lose its stickiness I run under water with a tiny bit of soap, use my hand to lightly scrub clean, rinse and let dry. I love these mats! I have been using circuit mats for about 2 1/2 years
Question:	Can I use this mat for my Silhouette Cameo cutting machine
Answer:	I have had mixed results using this mat with my Silhouette Cameo. It is fine for print and cut, but I had a cut file that went to the edges of the 12x12 paper, and it did not cut correctly on this mat- it cut about 1/4 above the top edge of the paper. These mats are a lot cheaper than Silhouette mats, but I won't be using them for anything but print and cut projects.
