Any germs in the reservoir are killed off when passing through the steam technology because of high heat and pressure. We have two independent laboratories certifying this. Answer:	The lid holds water so when you take it off the unit make sure you have something under it. If you put to much water in the unit it will leak. Don't overfill it. The unit may need too be put a little higher.
Question:	Can you use distilled water if you have hard water
Answer:	Those are automatic shutoff times. If you push the button once, it will shut off after 60 minutes, twice after 120 minutes, three times after 180 minutes and if you go all the way to "on", it shuts off after it runs out of water or you shut it off.

I use it and take pills that contain arnica and together it eliminates the pain that I have in my ankle. I have had an ankle fused and there is a lot of metal in it. Answer:	You know, different people have different body chemistry and therefore different experiences with this cream, just as with anything. For me, it is a godsend.
