Answer:	There is a difference of 2 mm in length between the 1 and 2. I purchase sizes 00, 1, 4 and the difference is more noticeable in the larger sizes 3 and 4. There is 2 mm difference between those sizes.

Answer:	I think that if you ❤️ to watercolor (or paint in general with a paintbrush) and wanting a cruelty free brush only then you’re possibly going to have give up painting, or you can patent a 100% cruelty free brush that will perform. Most synthetic brushes are way more harmful to animals and our environment. The chemicals used in the process of the manufacturing of these mixed materials And brushes harms our environment and therefore the things that live in it. I believe the majority of people, when asked to choose between anything Natural or Synthetic are going to choose natural. I guess I could also be making assumptions by saying that and apologize if anyone finds this offensive. Just stating some facts in case you weren’t aware that chemicals are used when processing most materials. One last thing.... this question could have been completely avoided with a little common sense because if there was such a group of people who held the title of “professional squirrel/weasel hair plucker” then possibly the question would make sense jt I just don’t see anyone holding shears and intricately trimming the tail hairs of a squirrel let alone a feral weasel in the harsh Siberian winter months. that’s just plain silly! Answer:	These brushes are great! They hold plenty of water and keep a very fine tip. I don't know what the da vinci mop brush knock off is, but I like these brushes a great deal.

Answer:	There are three brushes. I did not find the brush heads to be stiff at all once I rinsed out all of the gum arabic out of the hair. That is how they come shipped to protect them. I found them to be floppy and very good at holding lots of water.
Question:	What's the best/correct way to get the protective gum off these when they are new? Don't want to mess with them too much
Answer:	As instructed, do not bend while dry. Run under lukewarm water and gently rub against your open hand. It takes a long time to get the gum completely out.

Question:	In your opinion do these synthetic brushes have enough stiffness to push gouache around or are they better suited to watercolor
Answer:	I found them too stiff for watercolors but I like natural hair brushes. I think they'd work well for gouache and acrylics
