the cartidges don't stay attached to the nib. Any solutions

Answer:

No experience with mod podge, but i know it will work very well to clean acrylic based paints out of brushes, as it’s what I use to clean my miniatures brushes and all of my paints in that kit are acrylic based. Some pigment is left in my cheaper synthetic white brushes, but never in my nicer sable brushes. That may be more on me not cleaning them hard enough or in a timely manner and not the soap however.

Answer:	The big is easily replaceable. Just as long as the curvature of the bib base fits the pen.

Answer:	Yes, it is flexible, but it's just not great quality. I was able to use the nib for about 3 days until one of the tines broke. It just can't take very much pressure. If you want to get a flex nib pen, invest your money into a nice one... This one is not very good quality!
Question:	Will these fit non-speedball fountain pens that use the common international size cartridges
Answer:	They do. Speedball carts are international short standard. That said, don't unless you're willing to risk damaging a penny. The cartridges are loaded with pigmented ink, not dyed ink. The pigment is exceptionally fine to the point it does not require agitation to remain suspended, but a pen will eventually become clogged if you don't run the full maintenance routine on it regularly. On the flip side, once expended and cleaned Ihave made great use of the carts in other pens, and the Speedball calligraphy fountain pens work brilliantly with almost any ink.

Speedball's proud heritage for pen-making began in 1899, when the C. Howard Hunt Pen Company began manufacturing and distributing steel pens. Nearly two decades later, in 1913, Hunt sought to improve upon the functionality of the lettering tools of the day and joined forces with master letterers Ross F. George and William H. Gordon in 1913 to contrive and perfect a nib with a reservoir. It was nicknamed “Speedball” because of the efficiency of the pen, which cut working time in half.

Since that time, the Speedball name has become synonymous with high-quality pen nibs. In addition, Speedball now proudly manufactures a suite of complementary products. A-Series

Patented in 1913 and introduced two years later, the A-Series nib is where it all started for Speedball. Its unique multi-purpose design allows artists to create a variety of strokes with just a flip of the pen. The A-Series is ideal for any Gothic or Monoline lettering style that has lines of uniform width with a squared finish.

B-Series

The B-Series nib made its debut in the 2nd edition of The Speedball Textbook in 1916. Like the A-Series, the B-Series has a bent end to form a “shoe” that can easily produce a uniform width line. Unlike its counterpart, the Speedball B-Series nib has a rounded finish that makes it ideal for creating sans serif letters without thick and thin lines.The B-Series is perfect for creating a variety of monoline lettering, drawn letters (e.g. Versals) and “built-up” letters, such as the Double Stroke Poster Roman.

C-Series

The third addition to the Speedball series of pen nibs, the C-Series, was introduced in 1918 in the 4th This series features a traditional broad edge nib with a great degree of flexibility. Our most popular of the three broad edge offerings, the C-Series nib is meant to be held at a constant angle throughout the creation of any traditional calligraphic alphabet (with minor variations needed, depending upon the lettering style). Question:	Speedball elegant writer. Is it available in many colours
Answer:	yes
Question:	Are these good for drawing
Answer:	Great question. While one could use them for drawing, their chisel tip design makes them best suited for calligraphy and lettering.
Question:	Are they ALL black ink
Answer:	Yes, they are all black ink.
Question:	Can these be used with watercolor pain without running
Answer:	No. It will definitely run, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The Elegant Writer uses very interesting ink that changes color when you add water. The blue might bleed greenish and the red might bleed violet. It's very noticeable and you can get some fascinating effects either using plain water to activate the ink or by using watercolor. It's definitely worth trying. If you are at all open to the idea of experimenting - you'll love the Elegant Writer pens.

Question:	Do any of these inks have a glittery sheen to them
Answer:	The silver and gold inks have a glittery sheen but the others are matte, though bright.
Question:	Are these good for painting/drawing
Answer:	I've used them for both and think they are pretty good. The quality of ink is quite good and the colors are brilliant.
Question:	Can this ink be used for speedball caligraphy dip pen ? Is it too thick for the nibs ? Will it be cleaned easily ? Thx
Answer:	That's what I used it for. I dipped the nibs in soapy water and they cleaned just fine.
Question:	Can this ink be used for sumunigashi art
Answer:	Not at all. Marbling with this ink would make a mess. Sumi ink tends to have a high oil content. you can used acrylic and turpentine to get the sumunigashi effect, but to truly paper marble, you would be wasting your money on these inks. However Amazon does offer a variety of reasonable sumi inks , as does blick. hope this helps.
