Question:	Can you turn on the uv light without the led light? Or vice versa
Answer:	It is only, fair. You can see trichomes in general, but to see whether they have achieved full maturation and changed from clear to milky is difficult unless you have a very steady hand.

Answer:	Hello, that is a fascinating question since I have not tried to start a fire with a magnifying glass since I was a kid. So you made me act like a kid today, I went outside and tried using the 40x Jewelers Loupe and a 3x Magnifying Glass... and the results were impressive the Jewelers Loupe did not even make a brown mark on the envelope or a hot spot, but the 3x Magnifying Glass did burn holes in the envelope I used as a test subject. The surface area of the 3x Magnifying Glass is bigger, and it is only a single lens allowing me to focus the suns rays. The Jewelers Loupe has mutable lenses and a smaller surface area so I don't think you could start a fire with it unless you disassembled the Loupe and used only a single lens to focus the suns energy to one tiny spot, the multiple Lenses may stop the focusing of the sun on to the surface area. So in answer to your question NO. I hope this answers your question... Wesley
