Question:	The description of this motor says that is is 3-Speed; yet your answer to my question re: variable speed says it is one speed. Which is accurate
Answer:	the motor comes with extra internal wires to allow you to to hard wire it for reduced power and speed......I found these settings on this type of motor is not very efficient .....ie running at 60% power will only reduce amps by 10 to 20%. My furnace came with 1/2 hp. since I now have fewer ducts used, this 1/3 hp works great at full power....and uses less than 6.1 amps.

Answer:	This is not likely a direct replacement for any specific furnace. You’ll need to look at the specs of your old motor and try to find a replacement motor that is a close match. You should be able to find the exact voltage and rpm. The amps may be a little different, but needs to be close. The capacitor should be able to absorb some small variation, but consult an electrician if unsure. You want to get the same HP, but a little bigger is probably better than a little smaller as long as the specs are within reason.
Question:	What’s the yellow wire for in the diagram? has a switch labeled 145°c. thermal overload is done by internally with snap disc so i’m confused
Answer:	The short yellow wire (on the right in pic) is to change shaft rotation, CW clockwise or CCW counter clockwise The motor is thermal protected. When and if motor overheats too much, the motor will shut off. This is a common feature for motors.
