Answer:	This fan allows cooking fumes to pass through a grease filter and a thin replaceable activated charcoal filter. It cannot absorb large amounts of cooking odors or smoke. You need a fan that is ducted to the outside to effectively remove cooking odors and smoke.

Answer:	That's correct. The air flows through the filter on the underside and out through the three columns of vent slats you see on the front of the range hood. There is no connection to other vents or ducts in a wall or through the roof.
Question:	I will be plugging the rangehood into the wall, will I need a power cord kit
Answer:	I'm not sure what your setup is, but when I did mine, I hardwired the hood into the existing black and white wires that were used in the old hood. Chances are that if you don't have the pre wired design that I had, you will need a power cord kit if you plan to physically plug the unit into a traditional wall socket.

Answer:	Mine did, the seal fits the bottom inside "cone" of the toilet. As to fitting the hole in the floor to seal completely against leaks, well maybe, maybe not. Have a wax ring on hand just in case. NOTE: mine didn't come with any type of mounting bolts, water lines or the "holding tank chemicals" that others speak of. I have bought 6 of these on Amazon two at a time, maybe not all sold by amazon (some 2nd party seller?).

Answer:	That depends how many times that you have to empty the holding tank. You need to put in a fresh one after every dump, before using the toilet. before adding a new treatment pod, I suggest pouring 2 gallons of water into the holding tank through the toilet. I sent them my old one in the new box packaging, slapped their prepaid shipping label, and dropped it off at UPS.

Question:	It's not clear if this product includes a blower or not. Does it come with a blower or do I have to purchase that separately
Answer:	This is just the range hood (despite the product description). You'll need to purchase the blower separately. We bought the Broan HLB11 1100 CFM In-line Blower and love it. We used a HVAC installer to mount the blower in our crawl space under the house.
Question:	If I buy a remote blower for under the house, how much depth is required for just the vent? i.e., how close to the vent can my slide-in range go
Answer:	FYI - this vent is not designed to be used with a slide in oven/range, it's designed to be used with a cooktop and would be mounted tight against the cooktop. Having said that, I did use it with a slide in range and needed 2 1/4" clearance between the back of the range and the vent. This could vary slightly depending on the shape of the back of the range you're using.
