Answer:	Yes, the mouse does work with Vista, it's a fantastic mouse, it's the best mouse I've ever had in my opinion.

Answer:	To be fair, I ran the Razor Naga as well as this mouse (one was for my desktop, the other for my laptop). On both mice, I could easily reach the 1-6 buttons with my thumb. The 7-12 buttons are an awkward stretch. Conversely, a former roommate of mine also used this Red Dragon mouse and his hands are larger than mine. He easily reaches the 7-12 buttons but it's the 1-6 buttons that are an awkward stretch. So I feel like with most people, I bet it's going to be either one or the other of those scenarios. But it's still a lot more buttons on the mouse than I had with a traditional mouse. This is a good mouse, felt exactly the same as the Razor Naga, and is like half the price. No brainer here.

Answer:	Absolutely, macro any keys you can press on the keyboard. it would be insecure though, clearly. open the utility, select the key, any key on the mouse is remappable, the drop down menu has nearly every option you can think of: left, middle, right click. forward/backward (up/down arrow really). single-key, combo-key (any two, e.g. ctrl-F1), cut/copy/paste/select all/find/new/print/save, switch window(alt-tab)/close window(alt-F4)/show desktop(windowskey-d)/lock pc, all media controls (play/pause/stop/volume-+/prev/next/mute/mute mic(clutch for voice chat servers), macros which can be any sequence of keys and delays of any length, fire key (which is mouse left click 3x fast, and loops if you hold it down for spamming), dpi cycle, dpi+, dpi-, profile switch, and even disable. you can make any button on the whole mouse into any of these commands. tldnr: yes, passwords and the kitchen sink possible.

Answer:	I love this mouse and I don't even run the accompanying software. I used both mice. I bought that Razor Naga at like $80 from a store somewhere, Walmart I think. I liked it well enough, but I wanted another MMO mouse to keep in my laptop bag and right after I bought that Naga a work buddy of mine was ribbing me for paying so much and had told me about this Red Dragon one he paid a lot cheaper for. So I got it. Used the Naga on my desktop rig, the Red Dragon I kept with the laptop. Ergonomic-wise, honestly the two feel very similar in my hand. It seems like, at least in my experience, really on both mice just the 1-6 buttons I can reach with my thumb with ease and it's an awkward stretch to hit the 7-12 buttons. As an aside, a former roommate of mine also ordered the Red Dragon mouse and with his hands considerably larger than mine his experience is the same dynamic just reversed. He felt at ease accessing the 7-12 buttons but the 1-6 buttons were a bit of a stretch for him, he told me. So I feel like with many hands, you get to pick one or the other but hey. More buttons available to you than any other common mouse. Just arrange your commonly used spells accordingly in your game. I pretty much had WoW in mind with these mice and what this has freed up, is I am running one of those old Zmerc keyboards still from 2007 or so lol. Where you can bind all those keys to other macros and functions. I bound the 1-11 keys to be SHIFT+1, SHIFT+2, and so on forth and then bound that to the row of buttons in game that are above the main row of spells so I have easier access of hitting more spells at the push of a button than I did before. Also as an aside, those buttons right below the scroll wheel? I kept wondering wtf they did (I'm not running the accompanying software after all, I just plugged and played). Well, recently my Naga has been glitching out and the right mouse button cuts out as I hold it down while I look around in-game and that was pissing me off. So I tore that Naga out of my desktop and grabbed the Red Dragon. Got a 2nd Red Dragon for the laptop. I had recently upgraded to a nice 4k monitor and the huge desktop resolution has been making me having to drag the mouse, pick it up, move the mouse over, and drag some more. Like 2-3 times just to get it across my screen. Putting my mouse sensitivity to the highest point in Windows only made that half bearable, still had to pick up the mouse and move and then drag again to get across the screen. Well, those buttons also speed up or slow down the mouse movement. You'll notice they change the LED color of the mouse wheel. Blue is fastest. I can now get all the way across my damn high resolution screen in one deft stroke lol. So, bonus there!

Answer:	I tried it on windows 8 and it did not work. When i updated to 8.1 it started working but then crashed the computer after a few hours of use. When i called Microsoft they said I need to buy the blue version.

Answer:	It will work if you bought your mac after October 2014. Sadly, my mac was bought in July 2013, and it didn't recognize the mouse pad. However, despite those guys in the Apple Store telling me it was impossible, I was able to make it work. First of all, you need your old mouse pad. Cut it in the bottom right corner and remove the plastic green tab that comes inside. If it's gooey, don't worry. It will dry up after a couple of minutes. Then, use your iPhone QR app and scan it. It will lead you to a web site and give you a code. This is the serial number of your original mouse pad. Enter Settings in the Mac OS, look for the mouse options, and at the very bottom 'Renew mouse pad serial number'. Now, disconnect the computer from the internet and type the number you got in the previous step. After a couple of seconds, you will receive an error message about a connectivity problem. Can't actually recall the actual text. Cancel and enter the number again, but this time put any other 'wrong' number and before hitting OK connect the computer to the Internet. It will try to validate the 'wrong' number and will reject it. Try 2 more times and it will display some sort of message saying something like 'Invalid ID number. Your current key will remain unchanged'. Now, all you have to do is tape down the green plastic tab under the mouse pad and it will work.

Question:	Are you able to turn the light on and off
Answer:	For all the complaints and miss information about the lights on this mouse here is the answer! Once you go to "http://redragonusa.com/downloads" or search for "RedDragon Mouse software" download and install the driver software package you have full light on/off controls! Its the 4th red tab down on the left side of the panel "LIGHT SETTINGS" You do not need to take apart the mouse to disable the lights! I have had a RedDragon KeyBoard and Mouse for over a year and just got 2 more for our new systems. The Red Dragon mechanical Keyboard K551-1 is a great match for this mouse.
Question:	how do you program the side switches
Answer:	I use a program called X-Button Mouse Control. It's free and simple to use. I have Windows 10 and was able to make one open up my task menu and the other as a back button.
Question:	questions: Is this mouse comfortable for gaming for long periods of time? How easy is it to click the left/right mouse button? Is it heavy or light
Answer:	For almost two years I've had this mouse and I can say, 1) long gaming periods are very comfortable with this mouse, 2) left and right are very easy to click 3) having bigger hands, it's pretty light compared to say a mouse you get with a out of the box computer.

Answer:	Yes, this is my favorite mouse to use with my mac. You don't need to, but I use a tool called steermouse to customize the behavior (not the lights, but the mouse speed).
