This https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000115323-Troubleshooting-Insufficient-Power-Issues-with-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Pro says 20 VA is needed and this transformer is 24v * .3A = 7.2 VA so this falls short. What caused you to think you needed a transformer? Are you running this stand-alone without a doorbell, or is your existing doorbell transformer lower than 16 volts ac or lower than 20 VA?

Answer:	Shaft is 1 3/4”. The assembly is universal. The shaft can be easily shortened with a hacksaw if needed. It has a groove cut into it to insure it is cut to the correct length if needed.

Answer:	There is nothing stopping the LUX Power Bridge from working with your Nest thermostat. But technical Support can only help you install the product at the furnace and can't help you wire the unit to the Nest thermostat. LUX Technical Support

Answer:	Though Lux tries to sell this for its own thermostats, it should work with the older ecobee Smart Si; ecobee's Power Extender Kit (PEK) for that model was sold separately and, like the Lux, used an extra component behind the wall (besides the actual kit at the furnace or zone panel) to multiplex other wires so another wire could become the C-wire. The first-gen PEK, like the Si, is no longer being made but can still be ordered from certain HVAC supply houses. You can also use the Venstar Add-A-Wire Kit (the most popular one) or other third-party C-wire adapters made for smart thermostats in general; those come with an in-wall multiplexing component as well. Later ecobee models (ecobee3, ecobee3 lite, ecobee4, ecobee SmartThermostat with voice control) come with a PEK designed for that model in the box; use that instead of this device. Those ecobees have internal multiplexing logic for their own PEKs that may not be compatible with other adapters like the Lux. (Same goes for many Honeywell WiFi thermostats as well.)

Answer:	I would be EXTREMELY wary of plugging a heater into a power strip. If you are running something at 1500W that line has to be good. The longer the cord, the more electrical resistance. The more resistance, the more heat (and risk of fire). The more cords that can be faulty, the higher the chance one is.Get a GOOD surge protector, and test and inspect it regularly. Make sure its one with lights that indicate if it is protecting properly. Also it's best to get a new surge protector every 5 years or so because they will inevitably absorb some small surges that wear them out over time.When it comes to devices that can burn your house down you should take electrical safety very, very seriously.
Question:	Owners manual (Pg 3) states only to use WIN100 with 3-prong (grounded) appliance cords!!! Most space heater cords only have 2 prongs. Experiences
Answer:	The only bad thing you can do as far as 2 or 3 pronged plugs go, is to remove the third grounding prong on a plug in order to make it work in an ungrounded (2-prong) receptacle or extension cord. Otherwise plugging a 2-pronged device into a 3-pronged outlet is perfectly safe. The 3rd prong is usually connected to the metal chassis of an appliance so that if something inside gets knocked around or wet and ends up energizing the metal chassis - it will cause the circuit to short and hopefully trip the circuit breaker, instead of creating a shock hazard by energizing the other metal parts on the device. Question:	can this be used for outside dog house heat lamp in the winter? I would want it to come on when the temp drops below 50 degrees Fahrenheit
Answer:	That is exactly what I use it for. It's been in the dog house for 2 years now. The chew proof comments are not really valid. You wouldn't want the dog getting the chance to make contact with the heater right? So to solve the situation, youd get some welded fence wire and put a box around the heating element. I put the controller in the same large welded wire box. Dogs can't get to any of it which is the most responsible way to keep it from being broken, chewed, or catching a fire (I keep hay in the box too).

Question:	How do I turn off the time periods timer
Answer:	Sorry, you have to push the up or down arrow button to display the set temperature. On the other hand, after your system has operated for a while, the displayed ambient temp. is pretty much the set temp. because of the rather narrow temp. "swing" (even with the maximum "swing" of 1-1/4 degree F).
Question:	Is there a self life on this product? I’ve had mine maybe 8 years. I have mine on hold at 65 but sometimes it goes to 80 or 50 but displays
Answer:	No. It requires batteries to operate. It does NOT have a built in power supply circuit.
Question:	What is the lowest temperature setting
Answer:	On the lower left side of the circuit board will be 3 jumpers, JP1, JP2, JP3. Jumper JP3 should be across both pins on the circuit board then press the reset button on the left side of the circuit board for 3-5 seconds. Fahrenheit temperature will now be displayed. LUX Technical Support
Question:	I have a 120V relay/contactor that manages my baseboard heaters. So I need a thermostat that can handle a inductive load. Will this work
Answer:	This was an important question to me because of where I was installing the thermostat. The first thermostat installed was a Honeywell - that was when I found out Honeywell thermostats do not have the temp swing/differential feature - they are designed to keep a room at an even temp. The problem with this is that it was causing my furnace to short-cycle a lot because the area was not well insulated! After some research I discovered that because of the room not being well insulated, I needed to have a thermostat with a temp swing/differential feature. In looking at this thermostat (DMH110) on-line I was seeing conflicting answers on this question. One person here said it was up to a 1.25 degree swing whereas on another website they said it went up to a 2.25 degree swing. I decided to contact Lux directly via email and they got back to me right away. Here is a copy and paste of their answer to my question specifically related to the DMH110: "The Temperature Swing feature will be from Swing #1 - .25 ˚ F +/- to Swing #9 ? 2.25˚ F +/-. Answer:	Do you mean "Shelf Life"?? If it is unused for a long period of time, I suspect that it would last for many years, as there is very little inside to degrade over time (except maybe several tiny capacitors, which typically last for decades). I forget what the normal life expectancy is during normal use. I have 3 of them, and the one in my bedroom does occasionally malfunction. I have read some "less than favorable" reviews about this product. Make sure your batteries are good and fresh. If they are fresh, but the stat still malfunctions, you might have received a "lemon".

Answer:	The thermostat is designed for a line load based system such as a baseboard heater, motor, hot water heater, etc. You can use it for either 120v or 240v. I assume that your 120v relay will work just fine, it certainly should draw well under the 16 amp capacity of this thermostat.

Answer:	"EMER BUTTON: When in Normal Run mode, the usage of this button variesdepending upon your specific system configuration. For heat pump systems,pressing this button enables your emergency heat function, which is described in greater detail in the OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS section. For conventional systems, there is no such thing as emergency heat, so this button will have no effect."That's what my manual for a similar model says. (Actually, I see it is the same model that I have.) As the other guy remarked, it seems to just turn on the secondary heating for a heat pump system, normally electric heating coils. Electric heat is usually a bad idea, but it's what you typically get with a heat pump setup. So the electric company burns some gas or something, heats some water, makes some steam, runs it through a turbine, turns a generator, runs it through some transformers, sends it through some long wires, runs it through some more transformers, sends it to your house, where it runs through some resistance wires and makes some heat. As you might guess, that is not a very efficient operation when compared with just burning the gas in your furnace in the first place. The heat pump part gives you a little heat for slightly less cost when it's pretty warm outside.I don't know why you might need it unless the heat pump part fails and the supplementary electric coils don't come on.

Answer:	The models on Amazon can vary. I ordered the wrong one by mistake. After I discovered mine did not have the swing setting I called Lux. They were so gracious to send me the correct version free with me agreeing to send the other one back. Lux thermostats work great. Customer service is great. Honeywell is pathetic!
Question:	Does it work with hot water baseboard heat
Answer:	First, identify which model you have by looking behind the door. If you have the early model TX500U, this does have 9 swing settings. Swing #1 is +\-.25F. Swing #4 is +\-1F. Swing #9 is +\-2.25F. If you have the newer design TX500Ua or TX500Ub, Swing settings (#1 - #9) do not apply to these thermostats. Instead, the adjustment is called "System Cycle Duration". Temperature variation is now controlled by setting (3) different settings on your thermostat labeled Item #8, #9 and #10 (one for each mode: Heat, Cool, and Emergency Heat if applicable).These three settings will control how frequently your heating/cooling system will be allowed to cycle ON during room temperature control. The user setting is the minimum amount of time that must past before the thermostat will switch the heating/cooling load back on, since the last time that it turned the load "on".Once the heating/cooling load is turned on, the length of load-on time will depend on how long it takes to maintain the target set temperature.Lux Products Technical Support

We are off grid and I really wanted a smart thermostat so I could turn my pellet stove "off" remotely if I was concerned about the battery status before we could get back & turn the gen on (it'll be nice once the auto gen start is in place and the battery voltages are managed by our inverter).
