Answer:	I did not get a replacement...I got a refurbished authentic Wii U gamepad. Please note, I very much suggest you put it inside of a cabinet or somewhere it will not collect dust when you are not using it! The joysticks will collect dust and grime easily. Within 2 years I had two gamepads, one each year, and I had to replace them with a another one each year because of the dust collecting around the joysticks causing issues with gameplay. Why did I replace them here at Amazon instead of sending them to Nintendo? That was simple. Cheaper.
