Answer:	This adaptor looks a TOMEE type adaptor it suppose work on the model 1 Genesis with a headphone volume slider.Also believe it connects to the NES and SNES. Genesis model 1 I believe it uses 9volts. The customer reviewer there is only 1 in page amazon sent me,explains he had issues connecting his AC adaptor to his Super Nintendo this console uses 10volts. Which is good to know because I am also selling this model AC adaptor. The short answer is YES this should work for your Genesis.
