Answer:	If you are asking if the charging cord can plug straight into the battery, the answer is no. The whole car needs to be plugged in.... But if you possess some electrical/rigging knowledge and skills, then charging the battery out of the car in possible (with at little tweakage). My husband riggs boats for a living and we have an extra battery; so, we take the battery out when it needs to charge and put the already charged one in. That way, our sometimes impatient 4yr old doesn't have to wait to get his drive on.

Answer:	Great purchase, we are happy with the buy. I would not recommend for a 9 years old only because of the size of the car. In my option it would be considered too tiny to fit a 9 years old. I bought the car for my 2.5yrs old who fits comfortably.
