Answer:	Hello Dave, SATA 3.0 (6Gb/s) A400 series SSD by design is compatible with legacy SATA interface. SA400S37/120G will work fine in the older Toshiba Satellite, although not performing up to the advertised SSD speeds due to host system limitations, nonetheless A400 will outperform original hard disk drive to help enhance the system overall performance. A400 should physically fit the notebook internal drive bay using existing mounting hardware. PC will automatically detect the new SSD upon power up.
