Answer:	it's fairly thin. But if you are putting this on a cot then it's perfect. If it's on one of those play mats that schools also use for naps it's also perfect.

Answer:	There are pros and cons with both these types of mats. I had the pottery barn "bear" kids nap mat. The fabric is softer than urban infant tot cot and the mat is thicker than the urban tot cot mat. The reason I am not using the pottery kids nap mat is because they teacher said it will not stay on the 1" plastic mat. My sons moves around while he sleeps and the teacher said that the mats will not stay in place. In my son's daycare, they have tile for the flooring. I want a 1" mat to get him off the floor especially during the cold months. I really like Urban nap mat because it will secure very nicely to the 2" mat (if you notice there are straps on each of the corners) . Make sure to buy the 2" mat. The 2" mat and urban cot nap mat together keep my son off the tile floor and plus, the mats stay together. I have washed and dried both mats weekly for a whole year. They both wash nicely. I like the urban better because I can remove the pillow and it will dry quicker. Yes, I put them both in the dryer. I would never use the urban tot cot mat alone because it is too thin. If my son's daycare had carpet, I could use the pottery barn nap mat by itself.
