Answer:	The length of the coat from the base of the hood is 13"; the hood is 9". This is a size Medium.

Answer:	These raincoats run so very small. I purchased a sz med for my small Am Staff. It fit my 11 lb PomChi. Its 20" girth, 12 " length, & 14 1/2" neck. Its of no use to me. That will be a tough fit, because the Basset is so long. Make sure you measure the length from neck to back length you need for good coverage. Nice rain slicker but tailored poorly by normal sizing. If I were to order again I would order a large for my Am Staff, so I hope that helps your judgement. Look into the x-large/xx-large measurements to see if its a good fit. check out all 3 measurements L-W-NIt does look cute on the pomchi but a little too big. Tried it and it kept him dry but he was swimming in it.

Answer:	My 5 small dogs range from 9 lbs to 21 lbs.. The small was way too big for the 9#, the medium was ok for the rest of them, but too short in the length to the tail for the 21 lb. Ordered the large for the 21# and it was HUGE! I ended up altering the small slicker for the 9# and altered the large one for the 21#......I recommend if your pet is at the higher end of the range for a particular size, I suggest you order the next larger size. If the slicker is not long enough to cover the pets back, what good is it? I like the material and the quality. But the sizing can be tricky. The sizes are for the length and girth of the pet, not the lbs. Hope this helps.

Answer:	This particular rain coat does not have a hood. It’s very nice quality..runs a little short on the back but a larger one would be too big. I’m happy with it.

Answer:	Our dog is 75# ... she wears the largest size. Nice thick hat but pom pom fell off after one use. It is great for keeping pets head toasty if we can get her to keep it on,

Answer:	My fifty pound Standard poodles wear a medium... you might want a large if you have a bigger greyhound. The hat is stretchy.

Answer:	I measured from base of the neck down the back to about an inch from the base of the tail. It was the girth that was incorrect and you would have to measure that around your dog's middle section. If you notice the picture, it would be where the middle stripe is.
