Answer:	I use them on a Kawai digital piano. I think they sound great, although a little boxy sometimes because of their small size. They are starting to break in now and sounding even better. I would purchase them again if needed. I think they would be much louder than your Yamaha built in speakers but whether or not they would sound better is debatable. Yamaha digital pianos have great sound as Yamaha tunes their speakers. Built in speakers I have heard sound better than any external speakers I have heard in this price range. I do like how compact they are and they sound great for music and streaming, so if you need speakers for double duty then this may be the way to go.

Answer:	Realistically, if you are working with contemporary EDM or any electronic music with sounds below 45Hz, you need a sub. Don't get me wrong, the LSR305s are excellent, clearer than the 308s. For material like Country, the bass is sufficient. Even for Rap and EDM you can adjust and place them just right, and estimate how things will sound on a big club or car system. But pairing the LSR305s with e.g. a LSR310S sub gives you the real thing, though sub placement is SO critical it's another rabbit hole.
Question:	How large (approximately) are the individual pieces
Answer:	Some do. It’s normal. on the ones that do they are extremely quiet. The “hiss” is only audible while the speakers are not in use and is caused by the internal amp. I wouldn’t call it a hiss as much as it is just static noise from the amps unused electricity. If you don’t like that, maybe these aren’t the ones for you. But I will say that most other powered monitors I have used make this exact same noise. With mine mounted on the wall about 2 feet in front of me and 2 feet above me pointed down at my seat I cannot hear the hiss until ~90%+ volume, And again, exclusively when they are not in use. Answer:	there are several steps you need to take to trouble shoot. 1. make sure propeller is not fouled by debris or hair--easily slips off shaft. 2. make sure batteries are fresh and inserted corruptly. 3.in the middle of the lid to close the battery chamber is a small button--make sure it move easily--do not oil. 4. apply saliva to tip of button and contact inside of sub by and the batteries front and back. 5. sometimes knocking it firmly against hr objet works. 6. you can oil the shaft of the propeller as it goes into subbie. those are all my tricks--sometime the things just die--best i have ever done is 14 days of use. 7. make sure when finished using to turn off, remove batteries and drain over night both barts.
