Answer:	I own both and The Step 2 is WAY bigger and better. Step 2's construction is tougher and more durable. I have a year old and an 8 year old. My 8 year old can comfortably slide on the Step 2 without feeling scared that it will collapse on her. But sliding a couple of times on the Little Tikes slide, she's doesn't feel safe. But both are awesome for my very small 3 year old.

Answer:	The bar doesn't fold. It can be unscrewed. The legs themselves would be a pain to get off because they painted the threads with thick blue paint. It was a tight fit screwing them on.

Answer:	Yes, you will have to adjust the ropes to balance it. I am very pleased with this swing. It is very well made and has good safety straps to prevent a child from falling out of the swing. Hope this helps!

Answer:	It probably will depend on the size of the child/toddler. My granddaughter started at Age 1 and is still using it at 2 1/2 yrs. old...and she is in the 90% percentile for height and weight :)
