Answer:	Yes. My 5lb chihuahua loves this puzzle. The pieces are lightweight to open and slide. Her biggest challenge is the white center caps, but only mentally challenging. She has to nudge it up with her nose then pulls it out with her paw. It does take a little while for her to get them so I only use 2 of the white caps. If I want to keep her occupied longer I can use all 4.

They will not last if left unsupervised with aggressive chewers or puppies. Answer:	It’s plastic. Also very durable. I have an 80 lb American bulldog. He likes to lift the flaps, grab a hold of the flaps, and “throw” the game to the side. He learned most treats fall out that way. Lazy cheater. Regardless, the game is still fully in tact, and flaps easily pop back on. Some of the white bone middle covers have been chewed on, and still fit perfectly for intended use.

Our Golden Retriever destroys every stuffed toy we get him so I was worried too but, although he’ll pick the snuffle mat up and shake it a bit after he’s done “snuffling”, he doesn’t seem to want to tear it up. The texture of the interior fabric is a little stiff so I don’t think it appeals to him as a toy like the stuffed animals and he’s not as inclined to try to destroy it. That said, I only leave it down while he’s eating and take it back up when he’s done, just in case. He enjoys rooting through it for food - we serve his kibble in it so he doesn’t scarf down his meals.

Question:	If you buy a set, the cubes are individually packed or are in a cardboard box
Answer:	The dog might become disinterested in it, but not sad. I would suggest dropping random treats in the area of play the first time the dog uses it. That way they get the sense of reward for playing with it. However its very easy toy, and if you fill it correctly treats will easily fall out with a couple rolls :) Hope that helps.
