Answer:	Not at all, this Dino-track is made for self-propelled toy cars. Even Dino-cars will snag on their tracks if too wide. Hot Wheels uses gravity and various types of booster devices. I've studied them from an engineering p.o.v. and determined that not all Hot Wheel cars work well on all Hot Wheel track. The slick plastic track is sensitive to car weight and size and shows that the Hot Wheel Play-sets are car specific to a certain degree. Buy the Dino-track toy sets because they offer more accessories, by far, for the money and stimulate the imagination better. Hot Wheels may be the greatest toy ever invented, along with Barbie dolls, but newer play-sets are more interesting. Also, I'm not sure that creating a "car crash culture" was a wise decision.

Question:	How do I get the cars to stop flying off the track? We tried to fix the brushes and reduce speed
Answer:	We have 'Lightening McQueen" cars and "Mater" cars (Is that Disney?) that we use on the track. They're a tiny bit too big but they work just fine for our play. They fit in the elevator and around the track fine. Maybe a bit slow on the round track.

Answer:	The cars will run off the track. You can start and stop them but you would not be able to steer them... the track takes care of that

Magic Tracks track and cars are interchangeable with Twister Tracks, Neo Tracks, Super Snap Speedway, and Build-A-Road, so there are a LOT of cars and tracks available! There are some interesting accessory sets available too.I was in a hobby shop for twenty years and did many reviews of toy and hobby items for local newspapers and TV. All of these items are made in China and are aimed at the "throw away" toy market. At $19.95 for a one car set you get good play value, beyond that price it's up to you if this toy is worth it. Shop around!

Answer:	Lol - in our box were a lot of really great track pieces ... and a totally useless car that did not work. We got another set where the car worked fine. We did not purchase through Amazon for these, unfortunately. The tracks are wonderful, but I've found dozens of other reviews saying the cars don't work at all, or stop working within hours or days. A friend yesterday recommended getting the Mindscope Neon Glow Twister Tracks cars to go with the Magic Trax (since they don't sell cars separately for Magic Trax). She said those cars work great on the Magic Trax.

Answer:	Are you sure you pushed the top piece down all the way? If there’s a gap, he might be getting stuck in it.

Answer:	It comes in the original box if you buy from Amazon, but be weary it is a huge box and Amazon won't ship it in another box, so there is a good chance that your child will see what it is if they are with you when you receive it.

Answer:	Yes, you can use rechargeable batteries in the controller. Just please be sure not to mix rechargeable batteries and alkaline batteries in the controller at one time. With a fresh set of alkaline batteries you can get 15 - 18 car charging cycles before having to replace them.
