Answer:	Yes you can turn the sound off. I accidentally figured it out when I was putting it up today. There are 6 AA batteries. Turn the power on to figure out the battery combo. Put the two bottom ones in and one of the side ones. It will turn on and run without music. The other 3 AA’s are for the music. So you can turn it off but you can’t lower it unfortunately. It’s pretty loud.

Place the tracks as circle on a suitable flat table or floor, then pick up and follow the instructions to install each track correctly.

Question:	Where is the switch to turn off the smoke
Answer:	The box says the track pieces will do either a 50 inch circle or a 50x57 inch oval.
Question:	how many feet of track are included in the set
Answer:	I too was disappointed with the train. Bought it for my 4 year old great grandson and even with fresh batteries the wheels stopped turning and also the train keeps coming off the track. I had to put the train away to avoid so much drama. They just don't make toys the way they used too. I am 80 years old and I still have some of the quality made toys I received as a child. Toy makers don't think we would spend more for quality toys if they made them. There is no solution to the problem you are experiencing except complain to the toy maker.
Question:	We have had this train exactly one day. Already had to change batteries and the wheels stopped turning. Any advice
Answer:	It is a nice little train set and I would say you could add to it if you had another train, though I haven't tried it. As far as adding bridges I used building blocks and Legos to make bridges and tunnels my kids loved it. Just don't put the bridge too close to a corner or the train will derail!
