Question:	What kind of batteries
Answer:	This watch is what I have and it does NOT use bluetooth or sync with my phone. I am pretty sure that I have seen other watches by this same company that do have bluetooth and can sync with a smart phone. When reviews are posted it is sometimes hard to tell if is for the version you are looking at, or a different model. That's my best guess for the confusion. Hope it helps.

Answer:	No they are not, they require a fairly cheap LR1130/AG10/389/LR54/390 button cell battery. You can buy a ton for cheap. Great walkie talkie though. Kids loved it. Just be careful of the wrist strap, the links that hold everything in tend to break fairly easily
