Answer:	It would certainly help. It is somewhat rigid. I sit in a Hermann Miller chair, which has a type of web design seating, not a hard seat. I have had this product for at least a month and the only drawback is the slight odor it has when it gets warm. I put a towel on it and it solved the problem. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Eventually yes - I have traveled with this gel seat through airport security more than 30 times including main US airports, UK, Switzerland, Middle East and others. Many times the scanning officer asks what it is. Only once was I slightly delayed. At Gatwick security scanning station the security officer said "no gels or liquids" allowed. I carry with me a company advertisement for the GSeat that explains its use. I described it as an airline cushion seat. After asking his supervisor I was through. That was the only incident.

Answer:	It measures 17.2 x 15.4 x 1.25 in. Does that seem like a good size for you? I’ve never been in a semi so can’t answer to that, but my son has two metal rods in his back, and this is the first time in his life his tailbone and back have not hurt. He uses it on his computer chair which he sits in almost all day, and it has worked well for him since the day he got it. I tried another brand/size after this one thinking bigger would be better, but it added too much height, plus it wasn’t as comfortable for him as this one.

Answer:	I'm doubtful about that. It is only 1" think. I am 140 lbs, and I'm not happy with the product. I wish I could find something about 2" thick.

Answer:	If the seller has described it correctly, no. According to the Gelco website, www.gelcoproducts.com, the Ultra is 18 inches wide by 16 deep. The original GSeat is 15 in wide by 14 in deep. I hope this helps.
