Question: Where can I find new directions? We seem to have lost ours
Answer: Good luck finding any support of help with the EUDAX School Physics Labs kit. The website and email they list for support are fake or turned off and the other support processes they list in their written materials do not work as well. I needed information on some of the parts that were not listed in the instructions and tried for months to get a response. I do NOT recommend this product.
Question: I just received this today. my son is enjoying it. however, the solar panel piece came broken. how can i contact eudax diretcly to replace it
Answer: Good luck-I had a similar problem with a broken component and have tried since April of 2020 to get a response from them. Email, phone, letters all had no reponse. I do NOT recommend this kit becasue of this issue and the very poorly translated, innacurate and incomplete instructions. I would return the kit and buy from one of the more reputable suppliers with an actual web site-not a fake one like Eudax. As an alternative, you can purchase a small similar solar panel on Amazon for a few bucks and recycle the broken one.
Question: Is there a parent or teachers guide that explains the concepts in more detail for each of the experiments
Answer: Yes it has a teacher's guide that explains the experiments. I used it in a physical science class on electricity. Students had a great time trying different configurations of circuits,
Question: How does multifunctioal car work
Answer: The car is just a permanent magnet with wheels, you can make the car go forward or backwards by taking another magnet (from the kit) and putting it close to the car/magnet. Equal poles (S-S or N-N) repel making the car/magnet go forward (away from you), different poles (S-N or N-S) attract making the car/magnet go backwards (towards you). You can accomplish this also with the included electromagnet, when the electromagnet is off you can get it close to the car/magnet, then you turn on the electromagnet (with one of the included switches and a battery) to see the car/magnet move away or towards the electromagnet depending on how you connected the polarity of the battery ( +/- or -/+ ). Hope this helps !!

Build a Basic Electrical Circuit

  • In your first experiment, you will have to light up a lightbulb.

  • Result: When you close the switch, the light bulb will turn on. The aim of this experiment is to build a basic electric circuit and learn that a circuit will include a charge (the battery), a device (the light bulb) and conductors (the wire). After completing this experiment you will have built a closed loop circuit.

Build a Series Circuit:

  • In your second experiment, you will build a series circuit.
  • Get the components from your kit and connect them as you see in the picture.
  • Observe: First, watch what happens when you turn the switch on and off, and then see what happens when you remove one light bulb.
  • Result: The circuit you built in your second experiment, in which all current travels through each device, is called a series circuit. If the circuit becomes open when the switch is turned off or one light bulb is removed, the current stops flowing. This is called an ‘open circuit’ which is a circuit that is incomplete.

Build a Parallel Circuit:

  • In your third experiment, you will build a parallel circuit.
  • Get the components from your kit and connect them as you see in the picture.
  • Observe: First, watch what happens when you turn the switch on and off, and then see what happens when you remove one light bulb.
  • Result: The circuit you built in your third experiment, in which there are several current paths is called a parallel circuit. The current from the power supply goes through both light bulbs. When Bulb #1 is removed, the current to Bulb #1 stops flowing. However, Bulb #2 will continue working as it is in a closed loop and the current is separate.

Hand-Crank Electric Generator:

  • In your fourth experiment, you will have to light up a lightbulb with a motor.
  • Get the components from your kit and connect them as you see in the picture.
  • Observe: When you crank the motor with your hand, what happens to the lightbulb?
  • Result: When you crank the motor by hand, the light will turn on. You have just generated electricity by using a hand-powered generator. An electric generator consists of a number of wire loops placed in a strong magnetic field, which is similar to the electric motor.

Wind Car:

  • In your fifth experiment, you will create a wind car.
  • Get the components from your kit and connect them as you see in the picture.
  • Observe: When you install the batteries, what happens to the car?
  • Result: When you install the batteries, the car will automatically move in the opposite direction of the wind it generates. In this experiment, the batteries provide energy to the fan via a DC motor which causes the fan to spin and form wind. The wind provides energy to the car, causing it to move.
