Answer: We had the same problem with ours. I purchased a new charger and a couple new batteries and turns out it was the charger and not the battery. Now we have 3 working batteries. Cost about $20. Good luck. It’s a fun little boat!

Question: what is the shaft size for the propeller, 4mm
Answer: It is advertised to be compatible with ALL United States cellular carriers. It doesn't matter if a particular carrier uses GSM technology or the difference technology used by some of the other carriers. So, I am sure it will work just fine with Sprint, AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile. The signal from the unit is pretty must directional, unless you have a centrally located attic space where you can wire the suppled cable to the optional "DOME" antenna. The "DOME" provides "omni-directional" coverage over a larger area, but do not necessarily expect full signal coverage in all area of your home. If you have a two-story house, you may have to place two or more "DOME" antennas in the proper locations where the signal is weak or nonexistent. If you opt for the other more "directional antennas" offered by Sure Care 4 Home, then you will NOT get the "omni-directional" coverage. The directional antennas will concentrate the signal in a more "narrow" path. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you SELECT the CORRECT "OUTSIDE" and "INDOOR" antenna or antenna's for your particular application. If you DON'T do this, your expectations of the Sure Call 4 Home performance may be disappointing. The "directional" style of antenna was the correct one for me. I also had to select and install the optional "OUTSIDE" DIRECTIONAL antenna and point it at the closest tower since I live in the Sierra-Nevada mountains of California and as you might imagine cell signal concentration with 150' pine trees all around my area can really reduce the efficiency output of the tower signal. The same would be true if you are getting little to no signal inside your house or other building. You would need to install the DIRECTIONAL "OUTSIDE" antenna in hopes of capturing the strongest signal from the nearest cell tower, just to be able to get your cell phones to perform better inside your home or other dwelling. Since I mounted the INSIDE "directional" antenna and amplifier in a 10' by 10' attic space above a bathroom and then pointed the "directional array" directly towards my burglar alarm panel (latest model with touch screen features) it worked great. My panel if triggered by an intrusion sensor, first tries to contract the alarm monitoring center via the phone lines, but if the burglar thought he would be clever and cut the phone lines first, thus disabling the reporting capabilities of the alarm system, then the laugh is on him/her. If the phone lines are disabled, the panel automatically reverts to the cellular transmitter located inside it. The cell feature responds quickly. No dialing out by the cell transmitter. Rather, it sends and immediate "packet blast" of data to the nearest cell site and the "packet" contains everything the alarm center needs to know to dispatch the appropriate emergency services agency (police, fire EMS, etc). The "packet blasts" continue with up-dates as other sensors may be being triggered indicating movements within the house and in which areas of the home they are occurring. Since I'm not sure what you are looking for in the Sure Call system to provide you with, I thought I would give present you with a couple of possible scenario's to consider. I hope at least some of this information is of some help to you. I am an actor, so I am away from home quite a bit (sometimes up to one month, so I need a reliable alarm system that will protect my home and valuables during my absence. Good luck! p.s. Bottom line, rather than taking my word on what I have provided, you might want to look up Sure Call's website and give them a call. They are located in California. Make sure you call the COMPANY, NOT one of their DISTRIBUTOR'S. You'll get much better and more accurate information from the manufacturer. I talked with an engineer at the Sure Call headquarters before purchasing and he was quite nice and very knowledgable about the product(s) they build and sell. They are the company to go with in my opinion. STAY AWAY from WILSON and a couple of other companies that you may see advertising SIMILAR products.
Question: Can it be used in saltwater
Answer: As high as you can in a place that receives the best signal. I installed this in my daughter's two story house. I tried the app that shows tower signal strength, but it told me to point in a bad direction with only 2G signal. What I did was lay everything out on the floor upstairs, completely hooked up. Took the directional antenna and pointed it out every window upstairs and checked the signal put out from the inside antenna. Moved it slightly at a time in the window that gave the strongest signal till I hit a direction that gave the best signal I could find. I then made note of where it was pointed and installed the outside antenna outside the house pointed at that same spot. My daughter had zero cell service at her house. She can now make calls and post on Facebook. It is worth it. I bought a 12' mounting pole, mounted it to the house and attached the antenna to it, then used RG6 (I specifically used the higher priced Quad Shield which lessens signal loss, but regular RG6 cable wire will do) to run to the location I mounted the inside equipment. I'm sure the RG6 provided with it is fine, if it is long enough.
