In this instance they are talking about WiFi. 5G WiFi is just 5 gigahertz or 5 Ghz, also known as 802.11n or 802.11ac, and has been around for many years. If you have a phone that was produced in the last 4-5 years, it should be compatible with 5 GHz WiFi (there are some exceptions). 5G cell service on the other hand is VERY new, and almost no phones have it (as of late 2019). Unless you paid $1500 for your phone, you don't have 5G cell service, but the good news is that you don't need it for this product. |
