Question:	What kind of phone do I need to operate this drone and do I need the internet connection
Answer:	I wish you had asked something easier to answer, like "How far is up?" The reality is that with any point-to-point radio product that is operating close to the ground, the range of operation is highly variable. In excellent conditions you will get 2 miles of range. If your drone is caught in a tree and you are on a hilltop with a view of the tree, you might get 3 or 4 miles of range. If your drone is upside down between two boulders in the deep woods, you are going to get a lot less than 2 miles, maybe only 1/4 mile. Just keep in mind that no cellular/GPS unit is going to work at all when it is upside down between two boulders in the woods and there is nothing you can do to improve the situation. At least with Marco Polo you can move around, seek high ground overlooking the area, do a grid search - you always have options (and up to 2 weeks to find it). Getting within a 1/4 mile is MUCH easier than getting lucky enough to almost step on your drone when searching for it without a tracking system.
