The center piece and the trains are plastic The dominoes however are cold to the touch, if that is any indication of their material content. They are of good quality and well painted pips. We returned the first set we ordered from Amazon, made by red wolf products (a different distrubuter), but we have been very pleased with this brand. The aluminum box had a small ding, but not bad enough to return the entire item. The tile count was correct. We are very happy with our purchase.

Answer:	In the past it provided different ways to play. This was a gift for my granddaughters which we introduced to the basic version in November and they haven’t stop talking about how much fun it was to play the game (ages 6 & 10 yrs old). We used to have game nights with our neighbors and friends. This was always the game of choice. You can’t go wrong with it.

As for the tile, it is approximately 2 inches long and about 3/8 of an inch. This is a well-made product and fun to play.
