User questions & answers
Question: | Can you buy just game pieces.. since there isnt enough |
Answer: | Yes, you can buy more pieces... Historical Board Gaming dot com sells whatever replacement pieces you need for the game... also, here on Amazon, buy "mini poker chips" in the 7/8 scale... color of your choice... these will replace your cardboard tokens with plastic pieces in the same size used by the bigger/more expensive versions of this game. |
Question: | how big is the gameboard/map |
Answer: | Pretty big. I'd say the size of two regular RISK board's side by side. Maybe three. |
Question: | How is this game different (if at all) than the original A & A that came out in the 80s, had a lighter blue box |
Answer: | It is a completely different game. Different map, different rules (similar, but different), different number of pieces. It is a weird version of the game that does not play as well as the original or the current 1942 version. It limits the number of pieces available for each player which makes it hard to launch attacks and defend one's territories. |
Question: | I'm just starting out with Axis & Allies. Is this the best one for that purpose or do you recommend another version |
Answer: | Yes. This one is simple, short, and cheap. If you really like it, you will want to upgrade to a bigger edition. If you're not into it, you're only out twenty bucks. If you've never played Axis and Allies, you might be overwhelmed by the bigger editions. I appreciate the other answers here but IMHO they are talking about their own nostalgia not thinking as an outsider. I started with this and grew into bigger versions. |

Take over the world in this exciting game of military strategy, now with a refreshed look that includes updated figures, compelling board art, and improved Mission cards. In the Risk game players set out to conquer their enemies' territories by building an army, moving in troops, and engaging in battle.
A Game of Strategic Conquest
It's a game of alliances, betrayal, and surprise attacks because on the Risk game battlefield, anything goes. Players begin with a set of army figures and place them strategically throughout the map in order to occupy those territories. Players then try to conquer each other's territories by invading and engaging in battles. Depending on the roll of the dice, players will either defeat the enemy or be defeated. The player who eliminates all of their opponents and occupies every territory wins the game.
4 Ways to Play
The Risk game guide lays out 4 different ways to play: Secret Mission, Classic, Risk for 2 Players, and Capital. When playing the Secret Mission variation, players race to complete the secret mission noted on the Secret Mission cards. For Classic Risk, players must conquer every territory on the board. Risk for 2 Players adds a neutral army to the mix, and Capital Risk is a shorter variation of the classic game. No matter which variation you play, remember…when it comes to taking over the world, it's all about who is willing to take the biggest Risk.
Colorful and Robust Game Guide
Those who are new to the Risk game can quickly get up to speed with the detailed explanations in the colorful game guide. It helps new players understand the map and cards, and explains different strategies such as the attack, maneuver, and how to earn more troops. The game guide also includes a section of strategy hints and FAQs.

User questions & answers
Question: | Why is this game so expensive |
Answer: | Because its fun and has a lot of game pieces. |
Question: | I'm not a "war-gamer" but am looking for a good introductory game to this genre. This |
Answer: | I would vote this as the best all around game to recommend to a casual player or beginner. You don't have to be a "war-gamer" to enjoy this game. Very 'user friendly' game. |
Question: | Would a 10 yr old be able to play this? my son loves wwii history |
Answer: | Yes -- my son has been playing it since age 8.Respectfully,Robert S. Solow, Ph.D.CLS GamesAtlanta's Board Game WarehouseLAND: (770) 966-8340CELL: (770) 310-2498 |
Question: | If you could buy one expansion game/pack to go with Memoir 44, which one would you purchase and why |
Answer: | After extensive reading on BoardGameGeek.com, it seems the most bang for your buck comes with the Terrain Pack, giving you access to the most additional scenarios of any one expansion. However they all have value, so you could really pick a theater of war you are drawn to and play that. Be forewarned, the Eastern Front and Mediterranean Theater Expansions do not come with the corresponding boards. However it is not necessary (you can use the base game board) and is sold separately. |

- 2-6 players
- 60 minute play time
- Ages 13+
The object of the game is to gain as many flamingos as you can. Flamingos represent points.
Each player arranges 12 trailers in front of them shaped like a clock. In the middle are randomized cards that represent the name of the player's trailer park. This has no effect on game play.
Each of the Trailer Park Wars cards are separated into one of 4 types:
- Action Cards: can help the player or be used against an opponent.
- Tenant Cards: with traits that include their job, age, what they can be placed near in your trailer park (for example an old man can't cannot be placed near a rock musician), also there is an icon depicting how many flamingos they are worth.
- Amenities Cards: allow for more points when played.
- Natural Disaster Cards: have a negative effect on an opposing player.
Once all the flamingos are gone, the player with the most flamingos wins.
Players have seven cards to start. On each turn each player plays three cards, discards one and draw back up to seven.

User questions & answers
Question: | does the insert fit sleeved cards |
Answer: | They will not fit with sleeves on them. My solution, rather than ditch the insert, was to make cuts into the plastic corners of the card wells. This way I could bend the walls of the card wells a little bit to give me the little bit of room that I needed to have the sleeved cards easily fit. Only takes about 2-3 minutes, keeps the insert, and lets the sleeved cards fit perfectly. Tried to attach a photo, but Amazon doesn't allow it for answers to questions. |
Question: | I just received this game and all of the cards and instructions are in Chinese. Anyone else have this problem |
Answer: | I have the same problem. The first order was in Chinese. I filed and got a replacement. It just arrived and is also in Chinese. |
Question: | I heard that this game was already out of print? Why is that |
Answer: | It is now back in print as of today. The prices here on Amazon should be more competitive now. |
Question: | If you could only get this or the original 7 Wonders, and you will mostly only get to play with one other person, which would you buy |
Answer: | 7 Wonders does have a 2 player variation, but it is nothing compared to 7 Wonders Duel!! Duel changes a number of elements from the original 7 Wonders, making it more cut throat. Everything is connected - how much resources cost and how much money you can get from discarding is dependent on the cards you and your opponent have already played. There are a number of new functions that allow you to directly block your opponent - from discarding cards they have already played to taking their money. It is super fun - I love 7 Wonders, but I love Duel more - to the extent that I wish they made a Duel variety for more than 2 players. I would definitely point you towards Duel! That being said, there are ways to make the 2-player variation in 7 Wonders more exciting - playing with multiple boards per player is a lot of fun! |

It is 1941, and the world is at war. The Axis war machine is crushing everything in its path, while the Allies are rallying together to mount a heroic stand.
And then zombies show up.
As the commander of one of the five major powers, you are charged with planning a strategy to win the war. But each battle provides more fresh corpses for the flesh-eating hordes, and the problem is getting out of hand. Also includes an 80-card expansion deck for the Axis & Allies 1942 board game!
Reviews:
“Overall, Axis & Allies & Zombies is such a fun idea we are surprised they didn’t come up with it sooner.” – Starburst
“So how does the classic game of World War II strategy hold up with the added weight of the undead? Amazingly well, it turns out. The $40 package provides for hours of entertainment and has tremendous replay potential… Axis & Allies & Zombies comes highly recommended. It’s simply a tremendous value and a novel new engine for generating alternate history at the table.” – Polygon
“Axis & Allies & Zombies offers an incredible entry point to the genre and the series for new fans, compelling and interesting mechanics for experienced players, and a fantastic way to introduce this storied series of games to a brand new audience.” – Geek & Sundry
“Wizards of the Coast and Avalon Hill have taken the classic 10-hour standoff classic known as Axis & Allies and modified it with a taste of revisionist history to ask the question, “What if zombies were around during World War II?” What we get is probably one of the most interesting versions of the game I have played in my life.” – Bleeding Cool

Answer: | They tend to change the colors sometimes in certain versions of the game, maybe its because they want the zombies to stick out more in this one |
Question: | and 1942 included |
Answer: | Axis & Allies & Zombies can be used effectively as a replacement for Axis & Allies 1941. Like that game it has fewer pieces and a smaller board with fewer territories on it, but nowhere near as few as 1941. It also has a few more pieces for each side than 1941 and it brings back the paper money (missing from both 1941 and 1942). So if you're thinking about buying 1941 I'd say don't bother and buy this instead, as it's not as barebones as 1941 whilst still being a more streamlined and simplified game (no cruisers, AA or ability to build factories, for example). You can either play the game "straight" or with the zombie cards and figures. The game also has a separate card deck to allow you to play Axis & Allies 1942 with the zombie rules as well (you'll need to add the figures from this game to 1942 though). |
Question: | What size (mm) are the models? Are they standard 25mm size |
Answer: | The ships, planes and tanks are definitely much smaller than 25mm, with no common scale between them. The infantry is not scaled to any particular size that is advertised. I _estimate_ that they're _roughly_1/72. |
Question: | Anyone else missing US Infanty for set up |
Answer: | I'm missing several infantry and some tanks, too |

Fighting a world war is hard enough without a zombie curse.
With your human enemies on one side, and the ravenous undead on the other, it is time to ask yourself, “Do I invest in tanks or chainsaw tanks?”

User questions & answers
Question: | The contents listed above for 5th edition state that there are 16 road pieces. The 4th edition lists 60. I assume this is an error |
Answer: | We are working on making replacement cups available soon! In the meantime, contact us directly and we can help. |
Question: | What were the earlier editions of Catan like that they had to make more editions? Is the 5th a big improvement? How |
Answer: | If you play with only two people, it's no longer a game but more of an activity. I played it a few times just me and my wife and we both had fun, but it certainly lacks that thrill of competition when you play against another team. If you're looking to only play this with two players, I would not get it. |
Question: | On a different site it says you can play with 2 players here its says 3 which is it |
Answer: | Depends on their maturity level. I have a 12 & a 13 year old that play the game. They loved it from the get go and were able to learn and play the game very quickly. For younger players than that, if they seem to struggle you could probably handpick the cards so its easier for them to give clues or guess the clues given. But, like I said, my 12 & 13 year old learned it in one play and love playing it. Besides, this game can be played team vs team or all in the same team (cooperative). I hope this helps a little. Have fun! :-) |
Question: | Is this version different from Settlers of Catan? Is it an appropriate starter game |
Answer: | We just played it at my twins' 14th birthday party with two 5-person teams. It works best with teams of 4-8 people. Much bigger than that, and the caucusing part of the game gets unruly. |
