Answer:	Not all of the pieces are compatible.
Question:	How small are the smallest pieces? I am wondering if it would be okay for an 18 month old
Answer:	The pieces are prettying big, but suggested age on the product itself is 4+. The connector pieces (the plain wood pieces with the three or four holes in each) would probably be the most possible choking hazards - they look like thick tongue depressors with holes in them - probably pretty easy to choke on them if put in the mouth.

Answer:	I'm not sure if they just sell extra cars for the garage. I know some of the vehicles would be to big. But I do know with the Melissa and Doug Round the town road rug, some cars come with that set that my grandson interchanges between the two.
