User questions & answers

Question: When recording to usb storage with cassette running does pausing recording on usb yield a new track once paused
Answer: Pressing the "REC" button will result in a new file (closing the previous one). I find it easier to just record the whole cassette in one pass and use Audigy to extract the individual tracks. This also lets me enter the meta data for each track.
Question: What quality is the mp3 file when converted from a cassette
Answer: Mp3 files created from the cassette are 128 Kbps bit rate.
Question: It is my understanding that the mp3 encoder tops out at 128 kbps. it also is devoid of any flavor of dolby nr. such a pity on both counts
Answer: Yes, you are correct which makes this product that much more astounding. It sounds great to me. But I bought it strictly for playback, not to make recordings.
Question: Can you remove the rack mounts
Answer: Yes they can be removed, 2 small Phillips head screws each side.

Question: How tall, wide, and deep is the system
Answer: The stereo is 12'' wide- 16" high and depth is 14". The speakers are separate and they are 7" wide and 14" high. Hope this helps.
Question: What is the size of the unit
Answer: main unit is 14" deep, 18" tall and 12 " across. Each of the two speakers are 14" tall, 8" deep and 8" across. Hope this helps.
Question: I don't understand 'bluetooth'. Do all CDs, tapes, et al have to be bluetooth compatible
Answer: The source of the sound such as a CD or a tape has nothing to do with Bluetooth and therefore Need not be Compatible. Look at it this way. Normally if you wish to connect a headphone or a speaker to some device it must have a headphone jack or a place for speakers and then there would be a wire connecting the. Think of Bluetooth as an invisible wire connecting lets say a CD play to a headphone.Yes there is a connection but it's invisible. The source, the music must be able to transmit Bluetooth and the headphones or speakers must be able to receive Bluetooth. So the headphones or the speaker must be Bluetooth Compatible and the tape plat or CD player needs to also be Bluetooth compatible. The CDs or the tapes themselves... do not require any compatibility.I hope that this helps.Thank you Jack UFoundThePlace

User questions & answers

Question: what is the depth
Answer: It's kind of hard to describe and explain, but there's a clip on each speaker that you *slide* into the main component. When you hear it click, it's attached. It takes some finagling though.
Question: Does this have good bass and volume for outdoor events
Answer: NO
Question: Will this connect with a DVD Player? Does the remote have volume control
Answer: The hook up for the speakers is in the style of your typical 1/8" headphone jack. There are two in the back that are meant for the speakers but you could hook up you earphones to one of them.
Question: Is it loud enough to use while working, with hammers and shop vacuums, etc
Answer: The 4ohms on the back of your speaker means that if you have a problem with that speaker, and it doesn't sound right .when looking for or ordering a new replacement speaker it would have to be rated as 4ohms. Also when ordering you will need the dementions (meaning the size) of the speaker. I have found that Speakers only is a great place to try and parts express also. The 8 watts is the output of your speakers . Good for a small apartment and for the price.
