Answer:	No, they are not made of cheap plastic. They will not get smashed. My granddaughter received her sets last Christmas and they are in the same condition as the day she first started playing with them.

Answer:	Yes. I would not recommend putting them in the dishwasher (although, I have not tried this). To clean, I fill the sink with hot soapy water and use a wash cloth to clean, rinse & air dry.

Answer:	Yes but I'd put them in something like a mesh sock washing bag or something to keep them together.

Answer:	I would let my 1 year old play with these but not unsupervised. They are pretty well made but I would worry that the green stem might be bitten off if the child was left unattended and managed to try to really eat the pretend fruit. My 3 year old knows better than to eat them or stick them in his mouth so I don't worry about him as much as a younger one. If supervised 1 year old's would love this.

I put this together today, (6/19/18) so I am 100% sure, it's adorable...I came here looking to see a green clip that hangs the white board, mine is missing or was not included.

Answer:	I don’t have the Melissa and Doug Shopping Center but this particular set is the box type material and the milk and orange juice is taller than the shorter wood ones which we also have. They are around 8-9 inches maybe.
Question:	Are these bpa, pvc, phthalates and toxic free
Answer:	I bought several of Melissa & Doug's pantry items - canned vegetables, play fresh fruits and vegetables, and this dairy/deli mixture for my grandson's (2 years old now) kitchen. It's not a Step2, but it's a nice little toddler kitchen. These items are a good size for toddlers and for the kitchen, but mine doesn't have much storage space for all of the stuff I got him, so I bought him a little stacking set of see-through drawers to keep the different type of Melissa & Doug food items in that I bought. He also keeps containers from our real kitchen of items that he sees us use in there. S, they are a good size to use in the kitchen, but probably too big to store well in the kitchen. Hope this helps!

Answer:	My 3 year old grandson and his 1 year old brother have not destroyed their set. They like putting the stuff in a shopping cart and moving it around the house. Their 2 year old cousin has a set, too and he's done fine with his set, too.
