Answer:	Hi,no problem. it might be a little big for the baby, but it is normal for a sleepbag to be a little big.

Answer:	Width size, yes - however we used this for our LO at about a month old and it only came up to just below her nipple line. I'm not sure if she was 9 lbs yet, maybe closer to 8 (she was a small baby) but she was born 19 1/2 inches long and I don't think she had grown too much. So I think it's big enough to get a 9 lbs baby in without being tight, however, length wise is another story depending on how long your baby is... Hope that helps and best of luck!
